WEEK 6 HANDICAP PROJECTIONS

Posted 24 Aug 23h35

Here are my handicap projections for week 6. If last week is anything to go buy we may have to wait till Friday morning to see what the bookies think.

I expect to be well out on a few of these given some of the wild results we have had.

Cheetahs -8.5 v Griquas

Lions -10.5 v Bulls

Sharks +5.5 v Cavaliers

WP +8.5 v Pumas

I hope we see some outright betting this week, I am sitting on a 25/1 Griquas ticket and really need them to beat the Cheetahs this weekend.

Currie Cup Week 5 Bets Recap

Posted 24 Aug 23h24

My 1st losing weekend and a bit of a frustrating one.

Pumas v Boland

  • Bet: 5 units Pumas -9.5 at 17/20 (WSB)

  • Result: Pumas lost 26–29 to Boland, blowing a 3 score lead. Bet lost.

Sharks v Western Province

  • Bet: 3 units under 58.5 points at 10/11 (WSB)

  • Result: Sharks 29–21 WP, total 50 points. Bet won.

Cheetahs v Lions

  • Bet: 2 units Lions win at 27/20 (Betxchange)

  • Result: Cheetahs 47–31 Lions. Bet lost.

Bulls v Griquas

  • Bet: 3 units over 9.5 tries at 1/1 (Sportingbet)

  • Result: Bulls 21–42 Griquas (9 tries scored). Bet lost by 1 try.

Overall Take

  • 1 winner, 3 losers.

  • Biggest frustration was the Pumas blowing a lead to Boland and the Bulls v Griquas finishing on 9 tries when 10 were needed.

  • The Sharks v WP under landed comfortably in humid Durban conditions.

  • The Lions were never in contention
