CAPTAIN’S PRIDE stayed on when third over 1100m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Captain Of All is a progressive type and is one of the leading contenders.

I’M A FIREBALL is an unraced son of Vercingetorix from the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable with Kabelo Matsunyane in the saddle. He is related to four-time winner You Win Again. If not in need of this outing, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.

Race 2

TREASURE ISLAND has produced two good runs to date. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung inwards and shifted in the run down to the line. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Master Of My Fate should have no issues with the rise to 1200m and if keeping on a straight line, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

LIMITLESS SKY stayed on when third over this C&D last time. The daughter of Lance is a progressive type and she may have more to come.

WILLOW GEM was in need of her debut effort over this C&D. The daughter of Willow Magic would have come on from the run and should make the natural improvement.

Race 3

MISS DANON was in need of her debut run over 1100m on this course. It must be noted that the form of that outing has been franked. The daughter of Danon Platina would have gained from the experience. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off her back and unless one of the first timers have any ability, she may be the one to beat.

MOSCOW MISS finished 0.6 lengths behind the top choice on debut. The daughter of Global View would have come on from the run and can show good improvement in this field.

KEUKENHOF is an unraced daughter of The United States from the Dean Kannemeyer stable with Craig Zackey in the saddle. Her mother, Dawn Calling was a two-time winner over 1400m and she placed in multiple graded races. If not too green in running, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

Race 4

YOUR LADYSHIP produced a promising debut effort when third over this C&D. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The daughter of Mambo In Seattle would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to beat.

AUSTRIAN BEAUTY finished 1 length behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today, which is not enough to turn the form around but she should finish closer.

LONG STREET ran a fair race over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. She finished second in her penultimate run over this C&D. Apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto takes the 4kgs off her back which should assist her cause.

Race 5

UMZOLOZOLO stayed on when fifth over 1400m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Elusive Fort should love the rise to 1750m. She is having her peak run and in this field, she can shed her maiden tag.

ROYAL MERMAID is better than her last start on the polytrack as she was reported to be not striding out. Her penultimate run when third on this course was encouraging. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

MAGIC MAVERICK stayed on when fourth over 1600m on this course last time. The daughter of Horizon should enjoy the extra distance on offer and she can finish in the placings.

DANCING ON A CLOUD produced an eye-catching debut effort over 1400m on this course. He took time to find his feet that day, but ran on well at the finish. The son of Lancaster Bomber would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1600m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.

O SPACE O produced a typical second run after a rest last time. His penultimate run when second over this C&D catches the eye. He is having his peak run today and may be hard to peg back.

GREEN MILE should have finished closer last time as he had to be switched at the 500m mark. He finished 3.3 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result.

Race 7

FAIZAH ran on from last when fifth over this C&D last time. She has won twice, finished second once and third once from nine starts on this course. The daughter of Querari would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. From pole position, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.

ALPHABETTY ran a good race when third over this C&D last time. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. S’manga Khumalo is booked to ride and she is a solid back-up for the Gareth van Zyl stable.

FIREBURST’S last start against male company was good. She finished second in her penultimate run over this C&D. Craig Zackey steps back into the saddle and she merits healthy respect.

Race 8

ROMAN AGENT is having his first run for the Kumaran Naidoo stable. He is better than his last two starts suggest. The son of Vercingetorix has won once and finished second twice from four starts over this distance. He gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride and he can return to winning ways.

AGRADO lost a length leaving the start over 1400m last time and stayed on to finish third. He finished third over this C&D on debut. If getting away to a clean start, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

PEREGRINE FALCON ran a fair race in his first run for the Garth Puller stable. He would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. The son of Gimmethegreenlight has scope and can improve.

Race 9

WINGS OF JOSEPHINE is better than her last start over 1200m. Her post maiden effort over 1100m on this course was encouraging. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D. The daughter of Master Of My Fate runs well for 4kgs claiming apprentice Sifisokuhle Bungane and she cannot be ignored.

RUGGER LOVER stayed on strongly when fourth over this C&D last time. The daughter of What A Winter has dropped to a competitive rating and she should be involved at the finish.

JANE’S VISION returns from an 18-week break which would have done her the world of good. She has won over this C&D previously. If not in need of the run, she should be right there at the finish.

Race 10

WISSA’S ON FIRE was running on when second over 1000m on this course last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. He will love the rise to 1200m and can go one better.

INGQWELE stayed on when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He would have come on from the outing. His best form has been under Muzi Yeni and he is one of the leading contenders.

ALL THE TIME’S last two starts over this C&D have been good. Three of his seven career victories have come over this C&D. He is having his peak run and with luck, he can return to winning ways
