Winning Form selections for racing from Turffontein on Sunday 15th June where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge
Race 1
ANCHORAGE has produced two good second place finishes to date. She showed pace after jumping outwards at the start last time, and stayed on at the business end. Her debut effort over this C&D was eye- catching. The daughter of Vercingetorix is coming along the right way and she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
LET‘S GO LOLA made the expected natural improvement when winning over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. She finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice on debut. She is 3kgs worse off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result.
VERSACE ONTHETRACK won a game race over 1000m on this course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She is a progressive type and may be hard to peg back at the finish.
Race 2
JAN VAN GOYEN was an easy winner on debut over this C&D. He raced from just off the pace, showed a good turn of foot and won with a ton in hand. The son of Master Of My Fate found betting support that day which suggests that he was showing good work at home. He could be anything and can remain unbeaten.
GOT THE FEELING produced a strong finish when winning on debut over 1200m at the Vaal. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Muzi Yeni rides and the combination merit healthy respect.
SHADOWFAX flew up late when second over this C&D on debut. The son of One World would have gained from the experience. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he should make the natural improvement.
Race 3
RADIO STAR was touched off on debut over this C&D. He was slow into stride, rallied late but was touched off by Take No Prisoners. The son of Fire Away would have gained from the experience. He is drawn widest of all but gets the services of Gavin Lerena who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
GREENLIGHT RACER finished 3.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. From pole position, he should have more improvement to come.
CHIEFTAIN‘S SHIELD has good recent form lines to his credit. He moved up well last time, before getting outrun late. From his good draw of two, he should be competitive.
Race 4
JAPANESE GARDEN has produced three good runs to date. She stayed on when third over 1200m at the Vaal last time. She steps up to 1400m and Gavin Lerena retains the ride. The daughter of Danon Platina has scope and she may be the one to side with.
DAISY JONES produced an encouraging debut effort over 1500m on the Vaal Classic course. She was slow into stride, understandably raced green but stayed on at the finish. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
HOLLYWOOD MADAM is better than her last start as she was reported to be not striding out. She returns from an 18-week break which may have done her the world of good. She tries the blinkers and if not in need of the outing, she can improve to finish in the placings.
Race 5
INTO DANCING made the expected natural improvement when third over 1600m on this course last time. The daughter of Ideal World is coming along the right way and will love the rise to 2000m. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride from a good draw of two and she may have more to come.
LAVA LAMP set the pace over 1600m last time, but found one too good in the form of Bold Action. She has scope and should enjoy the rise to 2000m. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
MATTIAZO returns from an 11-week break/suspension. She finished second over 1600m on the Inside course last time. If seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should give a good account of herself.
Race 6
ENFLAME showed good improvement when fifth over 1600m on this course last time. The gelding and fitting of the blinkers seems to have done the trick. The son of Irish Flame will strip much fitter and should love the rise to 2000m. He is a progressive type and may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
SANTIAGO‘S PRIDE found one too good in the form of Pioneer Square over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He will strip much fitter and may be the horse to fill the exacta spot.
MIZZEN SWORD is better than his last start over 1200m at the Vaal. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He takes a big rise in distance and if suited, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 7
GUY GIBSON was doing his best work late when second over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He finished 0.05 lengths behind PASSAGE OF POWER in his penultimate run. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. Richard Fourie is booked to ride, and he should be at peak fitness.
PASSAGE OF POWER finished 0.6 lengths behind HALBERDIER last time. He was unlucky not to have won that day as he had to be switched for running room at the 300m mark. The 6yo gelding is one of the leading contenders.
WARM WINTER NITE was running on when third over 1000m on the Vaal Classic course last time. He finished 0.8 lengths behind HALBERDIER that day. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 8
CLAW won a game race over this C&D last time. He moved up well that day and found extra where it matters most. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Horizon is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
PRESSONREGARDLESS has good consistent form lines to his credit. He turned for home in a wide position last time, but stayed on to finish third. He carries a handy galloping mass of 53.5kgs and should run another honest race.
GRAND CRESCENDO is better than his last start over 1160m on this course. He finished third in his only attempt over this distance. On best form shown, he would not be a shock winner.
Race 9
PALACE DANCER finished 0.2 lengths behind MOUNTAIN HIGH last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She steps up to 1600m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.
MOUNTAIN HIGH is better than her last start in the Non-Black Type Secretariat Stakes. It must be noted that Choisaanada has come out and won again since. She won her maiden over this C&D. From pole position, she should be involved at the finish.
HILLARY STEP finished 2.95 lengths behind the second selection last time. She is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish
