DUCHESS OF PALOMA showed some signs of a form return in her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. The daughter of Royal Mo gets the services of capable work rider Luke Coleman. From pole position, she may be the one to side with.

JOHNNY DRAMA showed good improvement in his last start over this C&D. The blinkers seem to have done the trick. If confirming his recent improvement, he should be competitive.

LARKING ABOUT is an unraced daughter of Potala Palace from the Paddy Kruyer stable with Bulelani Thwalani up. She is related to three-time winner Karoo Lark. If not too green around the turn, she should give a good account of herself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.

Race 2

GOOD FOR YOU took on a competitive field in the Grade 3 SplashOut Cape Of Good Hope Nursery last time. His penultimate run when second over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth, catches the eye. He gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He jumps from a good draw of three and if keeping on a straight line at the business end, he can shed his maiden tag.

DIAMOND DAYS showed some improvement over 1400m on this course last time. The son of Rafeef is a progressive type and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

RANDOLPH HEARST is an unraced son of Gimmethegreenlight from the Justin Snaith stable with JP van der Merwe in the saddle. He is related to multiple winners including Marshall Field and Babelicious. If not in need of this outing, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants.

Race 3

CLIFFSCAPE made the expected natural improvement when second over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. She showed good speed but found one too good in the form of Ireland Forever. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is a progressive type and unless one of the first timers have ability, she should take a power of beating.

MIGHTY MARY is an unraced daughter of Querari from the Vaughan Marshall stable with Sean Veale booked to ride. She is related to multiple winners including Ice Kingdom and Mary O. If not too green in running, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other first timers.

MRS STORMIATRIX is a daughter of Vercingetorix from the Candice Bass-Robinson stable with JP van der Merwe up. She is related to three-time winner Ambiorix. If not too green in running, she should give a good account of herself.

Race 4

CAPTAIN WEST stayed on when fourth over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts on this course. If putting his best foot forward, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

MAURITIUS KESTREL showed signs of needing his stable debut over this distance last time. It must be noted that Gallic Dream has come out and won again since. He will strip much fitter and is one of the leading contenders.

POWERANDTHEGLORY finished 1.55 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

 

 

Race 5

This is a weak Class 5 contest and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is GRIPEN from the Lucinda Woodruff stable. He was running on when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. Corne Orffer retains the ride and in this field, he can go one better.

GOLDEN ANGEL has fair recent form lines to her credit. She has won once and finished third once from three starts on this course. The daughter of Gold Standard drops in class and she would not be a shock winner.

IM THE BUZZ is better than her last start over 1800m. Two of her three career victories have come over this distance. Her last victory came under Devin Ashby and the combination cannot be ignored.

Race 6

REGULATION got going late when second over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. The son of Legislate will love the step up to 1800m. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

KWITE A KING stayed on when fourth over this distance last time. He is at his best at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth, but cannot be ignored with Richard Fourie back in the saddle.

RED DAWN followed up his maiden win with an impressive victory over this distance. The son of Horizon takes a rise in class, but he is in a good space and should be up to the task at hand.

Race 7

MY ONLY WEAKNESS won a good race over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. She moved up well and fought hard all the way to the line. She has won once, finished second once and third twice from as many starts on this course. She steps back up to 1600m and the blinkers have been removed. She does have an awkward draw of nine to contend with, but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

LADY LOOK ALIKE’S last two starts have been fair. She was doing her best work late over 1400m last time. The daughter of Var should love the rise to 1600m and she is one of the leading contenders.

FUN ZONE has decent recent form lines to her name. She was not disgraced when fourth in the Non-Black Type The Clapham Stakes last time. She won her only attempt over this C&D. Aldo Domeyer is booked to ride and he may be able to get the best out of her.

Race 8

ELECTRIC FEELS stayed on when fourth over this C&D last time. She finished 1.4 lengths behind CHAMPAGNE MAC that day. She is 2kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won once and finished second twice from seven starts over this C&D. She always gives of her best and merits healthy respect.

CHAMPAGNE MAC was outrun late over this C&D last time. Richard Fourie retains the ride and he should fight out the finish once again.

COUNTRY TIME tried hard when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. She has won over this C&D previously. The daughter of Time Thief must be included in all bets
