Betway Premiership action continues this weekend and our focus is on Stellenbosch v Sundowns, Golden Arrows v Kaizer Chiefs and Chippa United v Pirates
Stellenbosch 7/2 Draw 24/10 Sundowns 8/10 (Saturday)
Stellies first league win came at the fourth time of asking when they edged out Marumo Gallants 1-0 in a midweek home fixture. Prior to that they lost 1-0 away to Pirates, drew 1-1 at Magesi and they started with a 2-0 home defeat to Kaizer Chiefs. In the MTN8 Stellies were 3-2 winners at home to Amazulu (after extra time) and they saw off Sekhukhune 3-1 across the 2 legs of their MTN8 semi final to set up a clash with Pirates for the trophy.
Downs come into the weekend in third spot with 8 points, 2 points off the pace being set by Sekhukhune and Chiefs. They had to settle for a draw from their opening game away to Chippa and in midweek they played out a 0-0 draw away to Chiefs. In between they were 2-0 winners at home to Amazulu and they also came away from Magesi with a 2-0 win.
Verdict
It's very rare for Sundowns to fire blanks but although they remain unbeaten they haven't been on top of their game at times this season. It's a tough ask for Stellenbosch but they are a decent side and I'm shying away from the match result and going with 2-3 total match goals

Golden Arrows 32/10 Draw 21/10 Kaizer Chiefs even money (Saturday)
With 7 points from 4 games Arrows have made a solid enough start to the season. They have bounced back from losing their opening game 3-1 away to Siwelele with home wins over Richards Bay (1-0) and most recently Magesi (2-1) either side of a 1-1 with Durban City.
Chiefs 0-0 stalemate with Sundowns at Soccer City on Wednesday kept them in second spot, behind Sekhukhune on goal difference. They began their campaign away to Stellenbosch and came away from Athlone with a 2-0 win against a side who played the bulk of the game with 10 men. They followed up with a 1-0 home win over Polokwane City and they were also 1-0 winners at home to Richards Bay. Chiefs are the only top flight side who have yet to concede this season.
Verdict
I thought Chiefs did well against Sundowns and although their 100% record was ended they have still to concede. I can see Chiefs edging Arrows out by a single goal margin.
Bet: Winning Margin, Chiefs by 1 goal exactly at 11/4 with Betway
Chippa United 52/10 Draw 2.45/1 Orlando Pirates 0.62/1 (Sunday)
Chippa started the new season with a very creditable 1-1 draw at home to Sundowns but things have gone backwards since as defeats at Durban City (1-0) at home to TS Galaxy (4-1) and then at Richards Bay (1-0) have seen them sink to the foot of the table.
Pirates are in mid table with 2 wins and 2 defeats against their name. Those 2 wins came in their last 2 outings at home to Stellies and Orbit Collage with both games finishing 1-0 in the Bucs favour. Pirates started with a pair of surprise defeats. The opening round saw them go down 1-0 at home to Sekhukhune in Orlando and they were on the wrong end of another shock in their second league game which saw them lose 2-1 at Marumo Gallants. The Bucs were 2-0 winners at home to Polokwane in the MTN8 at the start of the season and after both legs of their semi final clash with Sundowns finished 1-1 it was Pirates who held their nerve in the penalty shoot out to reach the final.
Verdict
With wins in their last 2 league games either side of getting the better of Sundowns on spot kicks in the MTN8 Pirates look too strong for a Chippa side who have failed to build on a promising opening result.
Bet: Which Teams to Score? Only Pirates at 5/4 with Betway
