Saturday 30th August
Chelsea host Fulham in the early kick off. Chelsea opened their campaign with a 0-0 draw at home to Palace before they thrashed West Ham 5-1 away from home last weekend with Joao Pedro scoring twice. Fulham have drawn both their matches 1-1. They scored late on to rescue a point away to Brighton and last time out they also came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw at home to Man United.

Man United go in search of their first league win of the season when they host newly promoted Burnley. First up United lost 1-0 at home to Arsenal where a goalkeeping error led to them conceding an early goal. Last time out they started well but had to wait for the second half to open the scoring at Fulham. They were pegged back, Frenandez missed a penalty and the game ended 1-1. Burnley went down 3-0 at Spurs on the opening weekend and they have more tough fixtures to come which made last week's 2-0 home win over Sunderland all the more important.

Sunderland take on Brentford at the Stadium of Light. The hosts were 3-0 winners at home to West Ham on the opening weekend but some of the gloss has been removed from that result after a 2-0 defeat at Burnley and midweek EFL Cup exit to League 1 Huddersfield. Brentford lost 3-1 at Forest first up but the put themselves on the board with a 1-0 home win over Villa last week with new signing Ouattara grabbing the decisive goal.

Spurs look to make it 3 wins from 3 when they host Bournemouth. Thomas Frank has overseen a 3-0 home win over Burnley and a very impressive 2-0 win away to Man City last week and they are in second spot, either side of Arsenal and Liverpool who also boast 100% records. Bournemouth gave everything in a 4-2 defeat at Liverpool on the opening weekend before an early goal from Tavernier put them on the board with a 1-0 home win over Wolves in Round 2.

Wolves come into their home game against Everton as 1 of 2 sides yet to earn a point. A 4-0 home defeat to Man City was followed by a 1-0 loss at Bournemouth leaving them without a league goal but they were 3-2 winners at home to West Ham in the EFL Cup in midweek. Everton went down 1-0 to a late penalty at Leeds on the opening weekend but they christened their new stadium with a 2-0 win over Brighton last week with Jack Grealish the chief provider.

Saturday's late kick off sees Leeds take on Newcastle at Elland Road. After their 1-0 home win over Everton Leeds found it tough going at Arsenal last week and they crashed to a 5-0 defeat. That hiding was followed by a midweek EFL Cup exit at Sheffield Wednesday. Newcastle had the better of a 0-0 draw at Villa on the opening weekend before they went down 3-2 at home to Liverpool in a thriller on Monday night. They fought back from 2-0 down with 10 men in that game and were only denied a point with virtually the last kick of the game.

Sunday 24th August
Brighton are at home to Man City on Sunday. The hosts drew 1-1 at home to Fulham on the opening weekend and they missed a number of chances including a penalty in last week's 2-0 defeat at Everton. City's first 2 results and performances have been like chalk and cheese. They thrashed Wolves 4-0 on the road before going down 2-0 at home to Spurs, a game where City battled to create clear cut chances.

Also on Sunday Notts Forest host a West Ham side who are really battling. Forest followed up their 3-1 home win over Brentford with a 1-1 draw away to Palace where a number of very recent new signings came off the bench. West Ham have lost 3-0 at Sunderland, 5-1 at home to Chelsea and then went out of the EFL Cup 3-2 at Wolves in midweek and Graham Potter is coming under pressure.

The game of the round sees Liverpool clash with Arsenal at Anfield and both sides have the maximum 6 points. Ekitike has been on target in both Liverpool wins, 4-2 at home to Bournemouth and Monday's 3-2 win at Newcastle but their defence has come under scrutiny. The Gunners workmanlike 1-0 win at Man United was followed by a 5-0 hiding of Leeds at the Emirates Stadium where new signing Gyokeres bagged a brace. Saka picked up an injury last week and is definitely out, Odegaard also went off injured but Eze has been recruited from Palace.

Aston Villa host Crystal Palace in Sunday's late kick off, the last action before an international break. Villa are struggling, they were on the back foot in a 0-0 draw at home to Newcastle (Konsa red carded) first time out and last weekend they went down 1-0 at Brentford. Palace came away from Chelsea with a 0-0 draw and probably had the better of the game and although they took the lead they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to Forest last week.
