sundowns1819Betway Premiership action continues in midweek and we pick out a few bets from the coupon including Kaizer Chiefs v Richards Bay, Magesi v Sundowns and Pirates v Stellenbosch

Kaizer Chiefs 0.77/1 Draw 21/10 Richards Bay 46/10

Chiefs top the log as one of 4 teams to have taken maximum points from their first 2 matches. They began their campaign away to Stellenbosch and came away from Athlone with a 2-0 win and they followed up with a 1-0 home win over Polokwane City.

It's been a tough start for Richards Bay who are 1 of 3 sides yet to earn a point. A 2-1 defeat at home to Marumo Gallants was followed by a 1-0 loss away to Golden Arrows. They conceded late winners late on in both those matches and at the start of the season they crashed 4-0 to Sundowns in the MTN8.

Verdict

Chiefs are capable of making it 3 wins from 3 but I'm thinking the margin of victory will be of the narrow variety.

Bet: Winning Margin, Chiefs to win by 1 goal exactly at 2.35/1 with Betway

Magesi 9/1 Draw 7/1 Sundowns 1 / 3

Magesi have drawn both their matches so far, 0-0 away to Polokwane and then 1-1 at home to Stellenbosch

Mamelodi Sundowns finished last weekend with 4 points. They had to settle for a draw from their opening game away to Chippa before a 2-0 home win over Amazulu. In the MTN8 Downs thrashed Richards Bay 4-0 and at the weekend they conceded an 87th minute equalizer in a 1-1 draw with Pirates in the first leg of the semi finals.

Verdict

Sundowns haven't always fired on all cylinders so far this season but I'll take my chances they can find the net in both halves of football.

Orlando Pirates 9/10 Draw 2.05/1 Stellenbosch 39/10

Pirates are another of the teams still looking for a first league point of the campaign. Arguably the biggest shock of the opening round saw them go down 1-0 at home to Sekhukhune in Orlando and they were on the wrong end of another surprise in their second league game which saw them go down 2-1 to Marumo Gallants. The Bucs were 2-0 winners at home to Polokwane in the MTN8 at the start of the season and will take heart from battling back from 1-0 down to draw the first leg of their MTN8 semi final with Sundowns 1-1 last weekend.

Stellies have also been busy at the start of the season. Their league campaign started with a 2-0 home defeat to Chiefs (where they played the bulk of the game with 10 men) before the 1-1 draw away to Magesi. In the MTN8 they were 3-2 winners at home to Amazulu (after extra time) and last weekend they saw off Sekhukhune 2-0 in the first leg of the MTN8 semi's with the away leg to come.

Verdict

Although they have just 1 league point between them both these sides are capable of much better. They both have big semi final second legs of the MTN8 to come at the weekend but given the need to improve the league positions I'll side with both teams to find the net.
