Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Monday 28th April where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
MADRA RUA is a very well-bred son of Frankel from the Brett and James Crawford stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. His mother, Run Fox Run was an eight-time winner from 1000m to 1200m. If not in need of this outing, he should start his career on a positive note.
BLACK EAGLE is a son of Rafeef from the Vaughan Marshall yard with Hollywood Racing-retained Jockey Sean Veale riding. He is related to six- time winner Intrepid. If not in need of this outing, he should give a good account of himself.
KANAAL SKATER hails from the Dean Kannemeyer stable and he is a son of One World. He is related to multiple winners including Emily Hobhouse and Ellis Island. Craig Zackey rides and he can produce a forward showing.
Race 2
JANNEMAN WAT KAN is an unraced son of One World from the Justin Snaith stable with Richard Fourie in the saddle. His mother, Bindi won on debut over 1250m. If not in need of this outing, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants.
JOUEUR DE FLUTE should have finished closer in a work riders contest last time. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Craig Zackey rides and he should be the first raced runner past the post.
CALL ME JANE is better than her last start as she was reported to be changing strides in running. She returns from a 22-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. The daughter of Querari has scope and she should give the males a run for their money.
Race 3
REAL STUNNER had excuses in his last start over 1600m on this course. He returns from an 11-week break, during which time he was gelded. The son of Oratorio should have no issues with the drop to 1400m. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he may be the one to side with in this field.
KING’S COLOUR is an unraced son of What A Winter from the Vaughan Marshall stable with Sean Veale booked to ride. He is related to multiple winners including Star Burst Galaxy and Star Express. If not too green in running, he should give a good account of himself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.
SIERRA SAGRADA was in need of his debut effort over 1000m. It must be noted that North Point has come out and won again since. The son of One World would have gained from the experience and should make the natural improvement.
Race 4
MONT LOISIR raced from just off the pace over 1200m last time, but found one too good in the form of Trippi’s Silk. He has won once and finished second twice from seven starts over this C&D. He won his penultimate start under Richard Fourie and the combination merit healthy respect.
MELA STRENGTH finished 0.85 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
AVIGNON finished 0.55 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and he may battle to turn the form around.
Race 5
DEVIL A SAINT set the pace over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time and stayed on to finish third. It must be noted that Okavango has come out and won again since. He has won once and finished third three times from ten starts over this C&D. Morne Winnaar is likely to use his early gate speed to overcome his awkward draw and he may be hard to peg back.
BOOGIEFIED won a game race in his last start over this C&D. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
TOUT A FAIT ran a good race when third over this C&D last time. It must be noted that Gallic Dream has come out and won again since. Andrew Fortune is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
Race 6
ONI SAN finished 2.15 lengths behind MY ONLY WEAKNESS last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Sean Veale steps back into the saddle and if not too far out of her ground turning for home, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
PILOT FLAME was running on when fifth over 1200m last time. She has won once and finished second twice from five starts over this distance. She jumps from a good draw of two and is one of the leading contenders.
MY ONLY WEAKNESS is better than her last start as she was reported to be not striding out. She won her penultimate outing over this C&D, under Craig Zackey. If putting her best foot forward, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 7
DUBBELOSIX stayed on when fourth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Vercingetorix is in a good space and he may be the one to beat.
REPETITION was reported to be not striding out over 2200m last time. His two starts prior to that effort were encouraging. He jumps from a good draw of two and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
PRIME VENTURE is better than his last start as he took an awkward stride leaving the start. He finished 1.25 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 8
WINTER RAINFALL should have finished closer last time as she had no luck in running. The daughter of What A Winter would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. JP van der Merwe is booked to ride which is a big plus. With a bit of luck in running, she may be the one to cause the upset.
MISS MARGUERITE finished 2.25 lengths behind BABELICIOUS last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. Her last victory came under Jockey Ashton Arries.
MISS WORLD is better than her last outing in the Listed Sweet Chestnut Stakes. She finished 0.05 lengths behind TRIP TO MAPUTO, three runs ago. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 9
CLIFFSCAPE has shown good progress in each of her outings to date. She raced from a prominent position over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time and found more where it matters most. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Canford Cliffs takes on stronger, but she has scope and should be up to the task at hand.
POETIC PRINCESS followed up her maiden win with a decent fourth-place finish over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. She is a consistent type and merits healthy respect.
BLACK PATH did not settle in the early stages of her last start over 1400m and understandably lacked a finish. The 6yo mare is capable of running into the placings in this line-up
