Crystal Palace 1.45/1 Draw 5/2 Brighton 18/10 (Saturday)

In addition to reaching the semi finals of the FA Cup Palace have taken 10 points from their last 4 league games, they are just below half way in the standings, 7 points behind Brighton but with a game in hand. They got out of jail late on to scrape a 1-1 draw at Southampton in midweek.

Brighton have had a tough week, losing their FA Cup quarter final at home to Forest on spot kicks (0-0 aet) and then going down 3-0 at home to Villa in midweek. They are 8th in the standings, 3 points off a top 6 spot.

The Verdict

Palace won the first league meeting this season 3-1. They let favourite backers down at Southampton, perhaps a hangover from the FA Cup win at Fulham, but this is a local derby and fierce rivalry exists between the fans and I expect a highly competitive match.

This fixture (at Selhurst Park) has finished 1-1 in each of the last 5, some stat that is, but I think Palace will be on the front foot for much of the game and I like the Eze price boost.

Bet: Player shots on target, Eze,2 or more, was 22/10 now 27/10 with Sportingbet

Ipswich 18/10 Draw 9/4 Wolves 1.55/1 (Saturday)

Ipswich sprung a surprise with a 2-1 win at Bournemouth on Wednesday but they remain third bottom, 1 place behind their opponents here but the gap is 9 points with 8 rounds of matches to go.

Wolves maintained their cushion over the bottom 3 with a 1-0 home win over West Ham on Tuesday. Prior to that they won 2-1 win away to Southampton and another victory here would arguably see them them safe.

The Verdict

Ipswich won the first meeting at Wolves 2-1 and only a win will do here but whether they can get it or not is another matter, Still, Ipswich have to for it in my book and Delap is the more obvious contender to score.

Bet: Anytime goalscorer Liam Delap at 16/10 with Betway

Aston Villa evens Draw 26/10 Notts Forest 26/10 (Saturday)

Villa are seventh on the log but only 2 points behind Newcastle, 3 shy of Man City and 4 adrift of fourth placed Chelsea. They are also involved in the UCL and have made it to the FA Cup semi finals and they have won 6 in a row across all competitions.

Forest will also contest the FA Cup semi finals when they come up against Manchester City and their excellent league season continued in midweek with a 1-0 home win over Manchester United. They remain in third place, 5 points better off than Chelsea (fourth) and 4 shy of Arsenal who are second.

The Verdict

Villa are in top form but a trip to PSG in the UCL next week might be a factor here and Forest are a very resilient and talented bunch with third place to protect. Callum Hudson-Odoi missed Forest's midweek win over United but is reportedly fit to return and with 2 goals in his last 4 league games he could pop up again.

Bet: Anytime goalscorer Callum Hudson-Odoi at 4.75/1 with Sportingbet

Fulham 32/10 Draw 26/10 Liverpool 0.83/1 (Sunday)

Fulham are ninth and still in the mix to qualify for European football next season but they come up against the champions elect here and they have suffered 3 defeats in their last 4 including a 3-0 home loss to Palace in the FA cup quarters.

Liverpool's 1-0 home win over Everton in midweek maintained their 12 point lead over Arsenal at the top of the standings. It would take a catastrophe for them to finish anything but title winners, they have lost just 1 league game all season though Fulham caused them problems in the earlier meeting this season at Anfield which finished 2-2.

The Verdict

Although Fulham can be a handful I'm with Liverpool to chalk up another win and Jota, who played ¾ of the derby against Everton and got the winner is my pick to score anytime

Bet: Anytime goalscorer Jota at 22/10 with Sportingbet

Man United 23/10 Draw 26/10 Man City 11/10 (Sunday)

United's 1-0 defeat at Forest on Tuesday was their 13th league defeat of the season and they are in 13th spot. The Europa League is the only chance of salvaging something from a pretty desperate campaign, they will visit Lyon in the first leg of the quarters on Thursday next week but first they have the opportunity to complete a league double over City.

City were 2-0 winners at home to Leicester in their midweek outing and they remain fifth, 1 point behind fourth placed Chelsea. Haaland will be out injured for the coming weeks, UCL qualification for next season still needs to be secured whilst the FA Cup is their only chance of silverware.

The Verdict

United won 2-1 at the Etihad in December at a time when the cracks in City's season were really starting to show. City were much better in the recent FA Cup win Bournemouth but their routine home win over Leicester didn't tell us much and recent league form is patchy.

I'll look for a card candidate and although he has kept his discipline really well since picking up 4 yellows earlier in the season Diogo Dalot could come under pressure from City's wide players and have his name taken.

Bet: To be shown a card Diogo Dalot? Yes at 2.55/1 with Betway
