NORTH POINT was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this C&D last time. He showed good speed, found another kick and drew clear of the opposition. He is a progressive type and is one of the leading contenders.

ORBIT is better than his last start and is having his first run as a gelding. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and if not in need of the run, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 2

BETTER MAN showed good improvement when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. He stayed on at the finish that day, but found one too good in the form of Pay The Palace. The son of One World is a progressive type and he can go one better.

NEW WORLD finished 0.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.

SUPPOSEYOU’VEHEARD has run two fair races to date. He should have finished closer last time as he hung inwards in the final 200m. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and if keeping on a straight line, he can show.

Race 3

RUBY REX is better than her last start over 1250m as she had to be steadied leaving the start. Her debut effort when third over 1200m on this course was encouraging. If getting away to a clean start, she can win a race of this nature.

DUCHESS OF PALOMA stayed on when fourth over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

WINTER GAMBLE stayed on when fourth over 1400m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. If not in need of the run, she can feature.

Race 4

TAKE IT AS RED has finished fourth in all three of her races to date. She stayed on at the finish over 1200m last time. The daughter of Hawwaam will love the rise to 1400m and if not in need of the run, she may be the one to beat.

UMFULA followed up his maiden win with an equally impressive victory over this C&D. He showed a good turn of foot and drew clear in the run down to the line. The son of Canford Cliffs meets a similar line-up this afternoon and he can bring up the hat-trick.

TOTHEMOONANDBACK finished 3.15 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

KWITE A KING has decent recent form lines to his name. He stayed on when second over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The son of Vercingetorix should have no issues with the rise to 2200m and he can feature.

Race 8

ALL OUT FOR SIX won the Non-Black Type HSH Princess Charlene Big Cap last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He carries a handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs and can follow up with another victory.

LITTLE MISS PINK stayed on after an awkward start over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. She has won twice, finished second twice and third three times from 15 starts over this C&D. The 6yo mare will be mowing down the frontrunners at the finish.

EXQUISITE stayed on after setting the pace over 1800m last time. She drops back to 1200m which is the biggest concern. If this distance is not too short, she should pose a threat.

SHESGOTCLASS followed up her maiden victory with a good second- place finish over this C&D. She tried hard all the way to the line, but found one too good in the form of Back At The George. She has scope and may be hard to peg back.

Race 10

STREET OUTLAW received a bump leaving the start last time but ran on well to get the better of FIRINGONALLENGINES. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Sifisokuhle Bungane which will assist his cause. He is in a good space and can follow up.

TOUGH TERRAIN stayed on when fourth over 1000m on this course last time. He has won once and finished third twice from eight starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

FIRINGONALLENGINES finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 3kgs worse off at the weights and may battle to turn the form around
