RACE 1

GENTEEL showed massive improvement when second in her local debut over this C&D. She had to be switched for running room at the 200m mark that day and finished strongly. Denis Schwarz retains the ride and if repeating that effort, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure. 

FIRE ALARM finished 0.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. 

TARTAN QUEEN should have finished closer last time as she received a bump at the 200m mark. It must be noted that Ignitethelight has come out and won again since. With luck in running, she should earn another cheque for her patrons. 

RACE 2

OFFICIAL SECRET was touched off when second in the Non-Black Type Friendly City Stakes last time. She has won twice and finished second once from eight starts on this course. The 6yo mare tries the 2400m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should be the one to beat. 

WOMAN‘S WORLD was an easy winner of her last start over this C&D. She raced from a handy position, quickened up well and won with a ton in hand. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces. 

MEDLERS TART returns to the Sharon Kotzen stable. She has won three times, finished second once and third twice from ten starts on this course. Her best form has been under Luyolo Mxothwa and she can find a form return.

RACE 3

HAPPY HOLLY is lightly raced with good form lines to her credit. She was not disgraced when third in the Grade 2 World Pool With Gold Circle Debutante last time. She drops to 1000m and the blinkers will sharpen her up. If not in need of this outing, she should be the one to beat. 

BLUE HOLLY hails from the visiting Glen Kotzen stable. She tired late when fourth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. She finished second over this C&D, three runs ago. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off her back which will assist her cause. 

MYTHICAL DREAM stayed on when third over 1200m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She is in a good space and merits healthy respect.

RACE 4

CHRONICLESOFNANIA stayed on when sixth over 1400m on this course last time. She finished 1.05 lengths behind LADY ZULTANITE, three runs ago. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won once, finished second once and third once from six starts over this C&D. She has dropped to a competitive rating and may be the one to cause the upset. 

JACK IN THE GREEN stayed on when second over this distance on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He won his maiden over this C&D and is one of the leading contenders. 

LADY ZULTANITE has good form lines to her credit. The 11-week break may have done her the world of good. She races well fresh and should give a good account of herself. 

Race 5

ABOUND set a fast pace over this C&D last time and found more to hold all challengers at bay. He received a four-pound penalty for that victory. Muzi Yeni is likely to adopt the same tactics this afternoon and he can follow up with another victory. 

TRAVEL MASTER has good recent form lines to his credit. He finished 0.25 lengths behind HOLOCENE in his penultimate effort. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. 

HOLOCENE ran a fair race when fifth over this C&D last time. He returns to Handicap Company and if finding the form of his penultimate run, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 6

LUNA HALO ran on strongly when second in the second leg of the Non-Black Type Nelson Mandela Bay Racing Poly Challenge. It must be noted that King Regent has come out and won again since. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. Despite her big mass of 62kgs, she should notch up her ninth-career victory. 

GIMME‘S LASSIE won her last start over 1300m on the polytrack. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She is in a good space and may be the one to fill the exacta spot. 

GOLDEN PACIFIC stayed on when fifth over 1200m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She tries the 1400m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can show. 

RACE 7

MY BEST SHOT is the best bet on the programme. He was an easy winner of his last start over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Fire Away should love the rise to 1600m and from pole position, he should take a power of beating. 

ON MY HONOUR followed up his maiden win with an impressive victory over this distance on the polytrack. He faces his toughest challenge to date but is progressing with every run and should fight out the finish. 

WE HAVE TOUCHDOWN was doing his best work late when fourth over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. It must be noted that Radicchio has come out and won again since. He will enjoy the extra 200m on offer and if all went well with his travels, he should be right there.

RACE 8

CALL TO UNITE has found his best form in his last two starts. He raced from a handy position in the Listed Settlers Trophy last time, found another kick and drew clear of the opposition. The son of Vercingetorix clearly has ability and with just 54.5kgs on his back, he should bring up the hat-trick. 

BLACKBERRY MALT won a good race over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts on this course. He is the stable elect with Denis Schwarz up and merits healthy respect. 

FIREALLEY may be the first local trained runner past the post. He was doing his best work late over 1800m in the Non-Black Type Friendly City Stakes last time. He had no luck in the straight in his penultimate effort. The 7yo gelding will love the rise to 2000m and with a bit of luck in running, he may be the one to cause the upset. 

RACE 9

Trainer Gavin Smith holds a strong hand in this contest and he can saddle the first two past the post. CRUISE CONTROL has been super-impressive in his last two victories on this course. He showed his natural speed over this C&D and won with ease. Luyolo Mxothwa will be looking to keep his unbeaten record on this horse intact. 

GIMME‘S LADDIE is a winner of his last three starts on this course. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. He set the course record over this C&D in his penultimate run and merits healthy respect. 

FAIRY KNIGHT is better than his last start as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Global View is the stable elect with Richard Fourie up and must be included
