Winning Form selections for all races from the Vaal on Thursday 24th October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter @Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge

Race 1 

MISCHIEF MANAGED is an unraced daughter of Wings Of Desire from the Tony Peter stable with capable work rider Phelisile Mongqawa in the saddle. She is related to three-time winner Sparkling Jubilee. If not too green, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances. 

CAT O’CLOCK has good consistent form lines to her credit but she has been costly to follow. She is carded to race on 17 October 2024 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored. 

SWEET SOPHIA had excuses on debut over 1200m on this course. The daughter of Flower Alley would have gained from the experience and should love the extra 200m on offer. She should make the natural improvement. 

Race 2

Trainer Sean Tarry holds a strong hand in this contest and he can saddle the first two past the post. MIA MOO won a good race over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She raced from just off the pace and quickened up well to hold all challengers at bay. The daughter of Vercingetorix is the stable elect with Craig Zackey in the saddle and she can follow up with another victory. 

WORLD OF ALICE was not disgraced when fourth in the Grade 1 Douglas Whyte Thekwini Stakes last time. She returns from a 13-week break and is making her seasonal debut. She is the best-weighted runner and if fit, she should be competitive. 

HAPPY MO has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She does have work to do at the weights but is in a good space and cannot be ignored. 

Race 3

KALEESH CYBORG stayed on when second over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Global View is coming along the right way and he can go one better. 

ENFORCE LAW finished 0.5 lengths behind the top choice on debut. He lost a length leaving the start but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. The son of William Longsword would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should pose a massive threat. 

OKLAHOMA TWISTER showed good improvement in his last start over this C&D. If Wesley Marwing is able to switch him off early, he should be involved at the finish. 

Race 4

CYMRIC should have finished closer to the winner last time as he stumbled leaving the starting stalls. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The son of Vercingetorix won his only attempt over this distance. He can go one better in this line-up. 

BUFFALO STORM CODY stayed on when third over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course last time. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody has scope and Muzi Yeni may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most. 

BIOFARMER ran a good race when second over 1200m on the Classic course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He won his only attempt on this course. He returns from a suspension/ break and if fit, he should be competitive. 

Race 5

RED LEGEND followed up his maiden victory with a decent third-place finish over 2000m on this course. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. The son of Red Ray should have no issues with the drop to 1700m. Despite his big mass of 61.5kgs, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

JAPANESE MAPLE has taken on slightly stronger in his last three starts. He drops in the ratings and it is encouraging that Gavin Lerena keeps faith in the ride. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces. ROMAN’S

REVENGE was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over 1800m on this course. He takes on stronger but there may be more to come from the son of Fire Away.

Race 6

CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN was given a peach of a ride when winning his stable debut over 1400m on this course. He received a two-pound penalty for that victory and would have come on from the run. Piere Strydom retains the ride and the combination can follow up with another victory. 

DIESEL‘S SHADOW finished 1.4 lengths behind EIGER SANCTION last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. 

EIGER SANCTION is a winner of his last three starts. He takes a rise in class but should be up to the task at hand. He is carded to race on 17 and 22 October 2024, and his progress in those races will need to be monitored.

Race 7

AMPERSAND finished 2.5 lengths behind GORGEOUS KLEIN last time. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won twice and finished second once from six starts over this distance. He will strip a much fitter horse and will be mowing down the frontrunners. 

GORGEOUS KLEIN showed good speed when winning his last start over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. He is in a good space and can notch up his third-career victory. 

OPEN HIGHWAY is better than his last start over 1400m. He has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this C&D. The son of Var gets the blinkers fitted which should keep his mind on the task at hand.

Race 8

RICHARD THE FIRST raced in the Listed World Pool With tabGOLD Darley Arabian last time. He returns from a 13-week break and is having his first run this season. He has won twice from three starts over this C&D. It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and on best form shown, he can notch up his third-career victory. 

CHASING HAPPINESS is a winner of her last two starts over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course. She is likely to race on the speed and can bring up the hat-trick. 

WYZEACT returns from a 16-week break which may have done him the world of good. He won his only attempt over this C&D. He does prefer further but has ability and cannot be ignored
