Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday 9th October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
GLAMORZ showed good signs of a form return in her last start over 1000m on the turf. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The daughter of Last Winter is back against her own sex and she should win a race of this nature.
HEAD GIRL has consistent form lines to her credit. She returns from a 12-week break which would have done her the world of good. She has finished second in both her efforts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
CHAKPORI’S last three starts have been fair. She is back on the polytrack and if getting away to a clean start, she can feature in this field.
Race 2
MASTERBLING has good recent form lines to his credit. He should have won his last start as he was squeezed leaving the starting stalls. He won his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Master Of My Fate is in a good space and if getting away to a clean start, he should notch up his fourth-career victory.
RHYTHM finished 2.95 lengths behind LOVE IN WINTER last time. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
NDAKA returns from a 12-week break which may have done him the world of good. He has won twice and finished third once from eight starts over this C&D. Tristan Godden knows him well and if fit, he may be hard to peg back.
Race 3
FIELD MARSHAL was an easy winner of his last start over 1800m on this course. The son of Lancaster Bomber received a six-pound penalty for that victory. He is a horse with ability and should be the one to beat.
WOODLAND GLADE has good consistent form lines to her credit. She set the pace over 2400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Zakho. Muzi Yeni knows her well and she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
RICCARDO was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He has won once and finished second once from three starts over this C&D. The 7yo gelding will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 4
AMOR FATI should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung outwards on the turn. The son of Global View will love the rise to 1900m. He meets the right field this afternoon and should take a power of beating.
CHILL IN THE AIR’S last two starts have been fair. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last outing has come out and won since. He tries the 1900m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
BRAVE BOMBER finished 1.1 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.
Race 5
PURPLE FLOWER was running on when second over this C&D last time. Athandiwe Mgudlwa is likely to adopt the same tactics today and she can go one better.
BLUSH OF DAWN’S last three starts have been fair. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth in her last outing has come out and won since. Four of her six career victories have come over this C&D. She gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Damyan Pillay which will assist her cause. She is having her peak run today and may be hard to peg back.
DRIVE BY has fair recent form lines to her name. It must be noted that the form of her last outing has been franked. She is back against her own sex and can earn another cheque for her patrons.
Race 6
LUCRATIVE showed good speed when winning her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The daughter of Vercingetorix is bred to love the rise to 1400m. She is the stable elect with Craig Zackey in the saddle. If suited to the polytrack, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
POURSOMESUGARONME finished 0.5 lengths behind SKYTRIX last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
FORT J’ADORE finished 0.55 lengths behind SKYTRIX in the race referred to above. She is also 1.5kgs better off at the weights and should turn the form around.
Race 7
FRENCH FLAME should have finished closer to the winner over 1600m on the turf last time. He has won once and finished third once from three starts over this distance. The son of Fire Away is the best- weighted runner in this contest and he should take a power of beating.
HEAVEN’S WILL raced from a handy position over 1200m last time, moved up but was outrun late. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. He carries a handy galloping mass of 53kgs and may be the one to fill the exacta spot.
SALT ‘N PEPPA followed up his maiden victory with a decent sixth-place finish over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He will enjoy the return to the polytrack and with 54kgs on his back, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 8
QUERARI’S DREAM lacked extra late when seventh over 2000m on the turf last time. He won his only attempt over this distance. The 5yo gelding may be a horse that will love racing on the polytrack surface. If putting his best foot forward, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
KING BAVARIAN has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He jumps from a good draw of two and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
WAVE WARRIOR moved up well in his last start over this C&D but was touched off by Fine Admiral. He has won twice, finished second three times and third four times from 13 starts over this C&D. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should be competitive.
Race 9
Trainer Mike Miller holds a strong hand in this contest and he can saddle the first two past the post. WARRIOR ROYALE made the expected natural improvement when second over 1400m last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix should enjoy the step up to 1600m. She is a progressive type and can go one better.
TWILIGHT BAY raced from a handy position last time and stayed on to finish fourth. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She jumps from a good draw of three and may have more to come.
FLYING HALFA ran a fair race over 1800m at Turffontein last time. She should have no issues with the drop back to the mile and if jumping on terms, she may be the one to spoil the Mike Miller party
