The teams competing in the Fifa CWC (staged in the USA) have been drawn into 8 groups of 4, the top 2 in each group advance to the knockout rounds and the final is scheduled for 13th July.

Al Ahly 22/10 Draw 5/2 Inter Miami 23/20

This is a Group A clash which pits Al Ahly, the Champions of Egypt against Inter Miami for who have Lionel Messi in their ranks and this group also includes FC Porto and Palmeiras This game is staged in Miami and former Orlando Pirates coach José Riveiro takes charge of his first competitive game for the Egyptians who have plenty of CWC and experience, albeit when the format was much shorter.

Al Ahly are 150/1 shots to win the CWC title and Miami are 66/1.

I think there is a goal here for Al Shly and Wessam Abou Ali is my pick to get his name on the scoresheet.

Bet: Anytime goalscorer Wessam Abou Ali at 18/10 with Sportingbet

Bayern Munich no offers Draw 25/1 Auckland City 55/1

Bayern are the headline act in Group C which also includes Benfica and Boca Juniors. Bayern regained the Bundesliga title this season and also reached the quarter finals of the Uefa Champions League whilst, despite their status as amateurs, Auckland competed in the Australian A League and won it.

Bayern are 13./2 shots with Sportingbet to win this tournament and Auckland City are the 1000/1 rank outsiders and next to nooffers on Baayern gives the impression this ought to be something of a mis-match.

Bet: I'm swerving this one.

PSG 9/10 Draw 26/10 Atletico Madrid 29/10

This is the first match in Group B which also comprises of the current champions of Botafogo and Seattle Sounders who have home advantage here. PSG walked away with the French Ligue 1 title and have recently being crowned as winners of the Uefa Champions League after dismantling Inter Milan 5-0 in the final whilst Atletico lost to Real Madrid in the Ro16 of that competition and finished third in La Liga.

Sportingbet currently have PSG as 9/2 second favourites to win the CWC whilst Atletico are a 14/1 chance.

Atletico beat PSG 2-1 in Paris in the UCL League phase in November but PSG improved as that tournament went on. Ashraf Hakimi has become a key player for PSG, he opened the scoring in the UCL final and gets my vote to pop up again here.

Bet: Anytime goalscorer Ashraf Hakimi at 9/2 with Sportingbet

Palmeiras 1.75/1 Draw 22/10 FC Porto 16/10

This is the second match in Group A which kicks off as Sunday night turns into Monday morning and sees Brazilian side Palmeiras take on Portugal's FC Porto. Palmeiras finished as runners up in Brazil's top flight whilst Porto were third best in Portugal and made it to the knockout rounds of the UCL.

Palmeiras are trading at 33/1 to win this tournament and Porto are 50/1 shots with Sportingbet.

This might not be the strongest of the groups, any winner will be in a strong position to qualify but you certainly don't want to be starting with a defeat and the draw is my play here.

Bet: Match Result Draw at 22/10 with Sportingbet
