greyvilleturfWinning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday 10th May where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

SIMBINE showed good improvement in his last start over this distance at Turffontein. He showed pace but found one too good in the form of Spiritrix. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of What A Winter is coming along the right way and if jumping on terms, he may be hard to peg back.

ARE YOU SURE has been costly to follow to date. She lacked extra late over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. From her good draw of four, she is one of the leading contenders.

CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS returns from a 17-week break and is having her first run for Stuart Ferrie. She is a horse with scope and if suited to this course, she should have improvement to come.

Race 2

PRIORY TERRACE showed good speed over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on debut, before getting outrun late by Limitless Sky. She found betting support that day which suggests that she was showing good work at home. The daughter of Vercingetorix would have gained from the experience and from pole position, she can go one better.

VHAGAR is better than his last start over 1400m. He returns from a lengthy 47-week break. The son of Danon Platina found betting support on debut. Richard Fourie rides and if not in need of the outing, he would not be a shock winner.

GORGEOUS BOMB has produced two good runs to date. She shows good pace in her races and may be hard to peg back.

Race 3

PROMISE OF FIRE’S last two starts have been fair. She should have finished closer last time as she hung inwards in the final 400m. The daughter of Fire Away gets the blinkers fitted which should keep her mind on the task at hand. Kabelo Matsunyane retains the ride and she can shed her maiden tag.

K M V RETROFIT finished 0.05 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

ALEX MILLER is better than her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The tongue-tie has been quickly removed. On best form shown, she would not be a shock winner.

Race 4

LEMON THYME has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She was running on when fourth over this C&D last time. The daughter of Legislate is having her peak run. She is a progressive type and may be the one to beat.

GREENLIGHT SKYE’S last three starts have been good. She stayed on when third over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

ANOTHER DREAM hails from the visiting Lucinda Woodruff stable. She was doing her best work late when fifth over 1500m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The daughter of Futura has scope and with a bit of luck in running, she can finish in the placings.

Race 5

GERBERA is better than her last start in the Grade 2 Wilgerbosdrift Bridget Oppenheimer SA Oaks as she was reported to be fatigued. The daughter of One World showed promise earlier in her career under Craig Zackey. She has class about her and is likely to be settled near the rear of the field. She will be mowing down the frontrunners.

SONIC JET set the pace over this distance at the Vaal last time before getting outrun late. She jumps from a good draw of two and if all went well with her travels, she should be involved at the finish.

KHETHIWE’S DESTINY ran a creditable race when having to overcome the widest draw over 1200m last time. She finished 1.1 lengths behind BEVIES DELIGHT in her penultimate run. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

Race 6

LUHAMBA PHAMBILI ran a good race when third in the Listed In Full Flight Handicap last time. He showed good speed before getting outrun late. He finished second in his only attempt on this course. Sean Veale is booked to ride and he may be the one to side with.

ZIYASHA won a game race in the Non-Black Type WSB Bantry Bay Stakes last time. He returns from a 24-week break. He won his only attempt over this C&D. Raymond Danielson retains the ride and if not in need of the run, he should go close.

FUTURE VARIETY stayed on strongly when fifth over 1100m last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. With a bit of luck from his awkward draw of nine, he should feature.

Race 7

FUTURE SWING was not disgraced when 2.15 lengths behind Eight On Eighteen in the Grade 1 WSB Cape Town Met last time. The son of Futura returns from a well-deserved 15-week break. He won this race last year and with Richard Fourie back in the saddle, he can defend his title.

NATIVE RULER ran a fair race in the Grade 1 SplashOut Cape Derby last time. The son of Vercingetorix returns from an 11-week break. He may be ahead of the handicapper and with just 52kgs on his back, he is a solid back-up for the Justin Snaith stable.

HOLDING THUMBS has won his last two starts with ease. He set the pace in the Listed Monaco Sport Of Kings Kenilworth Cup last time. He runs well for Sean Veale and the combination merit healthy respect

Race 8

REGULATION’S last two starts have been good. He was reported to have choked up last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. The son of Legislate jumps from a good draw of four and if suited to this course, he should be competitive.

VILA VICOSA ran on from last when second over 1800m on this course last time. He will love the extra 100m on offer and with the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Blaine Marx-Jacobson, he should pose a threat.

EL REY VIENE finished 0.1 lengths behind the second selection last time. He is 3kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.

Race 9

PRINCESS PALACE’S last three starts have been good. She has won once and finished third twice from five starts over this distance. From her good draw of two, she can notch up her second-career victory.

RUGGER LOVER has decent recent form lines to her credit. The daughter of What A Winter will love the rise to 1400m and from pole position, she is one of the leading contenders.

UBUKHWEBEZANA stayed on when fifth over this C&D last time. She drops back in class and is off a rating where she should be competitive. With a bit of luck in running, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest
