Race 1

BEAUTIFUL ONE has run three fair races to date. She jumped awkwardly leaving the start last time and was reported to have cast a shoe in running. It must be noted that Viva La Vida has come out and won again since. The daughter of One World has scope and she may be the horse to side with in this field. 

LAYDELAY ran a fair race on debut over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She would have gained from the experience and will love the rise to 1250m. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should pose a threat. 

REDLIGHT LANE is an unraced daughter of Gimmethegreenlight from the Justin Snaith stable with Andrew Fortune in the saddle. She is related to Rondebosch who has won once and placed five times from six starts. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants.

Race 2

GREENCHOICE was in need of his debut effort over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He was green in running and would have gained from the experience. The son of Gimmethegreenlight should enjoy the step up to 1250m and with the natural improvement that is expected, he can win a race of this nature. 

SIRIANO ran a fair race over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. He would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter. The son of Querari is a progressive type and may have more to come. 

BALZI ROSSI‘S last three starts have been decent. The drop to 1250m is a slight concern but in this field, he cannot be discounted. 

Race 3

Trainer Candice Bass-Robinson holds a strong hand in this contest and she can saddle the first two past the post. GIVEN TO FLY showed improvement when fourth over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course last time. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber is the stable elect with Aldo Domeyer up and she may be the one to side with.

BEACH VERSE’S last two starts have been good. The daughter of Vercingetorix is bred to love the rise to 1500m. She is a progressive type and merits healthy respect.

WAIT FOR ME ran a fair race over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix should love the rise to 1500m. She does have a wide draw to overcome but Richard Fourie knows her well and he should give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

Race 4

KATSU has very good consistent form lines to his credit. He stayed on when second over 1600m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts on this course. Richard Fourie is booked to ride, and he can notch up his fifth-career victory.

WHAT A FORTUNE ran on powerfully when winning his last start over 1400m. He received a five-pound penalty for that victory. Aldo Domeyer retains the ride, and the combination merit healthy respect.

BLIND DATE produced a strong finish to win his last start over 1200m. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He does take on stronger, but has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand. 

 

 

Race 5

SAN PEDRO has fair recent form lines to his name. He finished 2.7 lengths behind PLEASE BE TRUE, three runs ago. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won once, finished second once and third once from five starts on this course. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

PLEASE BE TRUE’S last two starts have been good. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was switched for running room at the 200m mark. The son of One World merits healthy respect.

GOLD DUST finished 0.8 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

Race 6

MIRACULOUS is better than her last start over 1400m as she over raced and had to be steadied at the 1100m mark. Her form prior to that outing was consistent. She is back in Class 4 Company and Grant van Niekerk may be able to get the best out of her where it matters most. 

PENTOLINA finished 2.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result. 

LADY SPRINGFIELD stayed on when third over 1800m last time. She has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts on this course. If jumping on terms, she should be involved at the finish. 

Race 7

DUMBLEDORE has good recent form lines to his credit. He stayed on when third over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. Two of his four career victories have come over this C&D. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his awkward draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners. 

LET IT BE SAID has consistent form lines to his name. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. If not in need of the run, he may be the horse to fill the exacta spot. 

KINDA WONDERFUL was doing her best work late when fourth in the Listed Ladies Mile last time. She returns from a 16-week break which would have done her the world of good. She may need the run but has the class to give the males a run for their money. 

Race 8

MIDWAY has good recent form lines to his name. He raced from a handy position last time, moved up before getting caught late by Saint Brigid. The son of Pomodoro should have no issues with the drop to 1400m and with luck in running, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure. 

TRES CHIC finished 0.05 lengths behind MELA STRENGTH last time. She is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won once, finished second once and third twice from seven starts over this distance. She jumps from a good draw of two and can run a big race. 

MELA STRENGTH has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He won his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Silvano will be mowing down the frontrunners
