WHAT A PASSION showed pace over 1100m last time, but found one too good in the form of Princess Of Gaul. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She is a progressive type and may have more to come. 

Race 2

KALAHARI ROLLER is better than his last start over 1200m on the polytrack, as he was reported to be cut into on his left fore. The son of New Predator has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this C&D. The blinkers have been re-fitted and he can notch up his fourth-career victory. 

MOJO MAN stayed on when fourth over this distance on the polytrack last time. 4kgs claiming Apprentice Bongani Makhubo is booked to ride. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces. 

LADY OF VIX showed good speed when winning her last start over this C&D. She takes a rise in class but gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Jacey Botes, and she should be up to the task at hand. 

Race 3

SOHOT SOWHAT was not beaten far in the Grade 2 HKJC World Pool Tibouchina Stakes last time. She was reported to be not striding out that day. The daughter of Soqrat won a good race in her penultimate run over 1200m. Despite her big mass of 61.5kgs, she should be the one to beat. 

CONVOCATION set the pace over 1200m last time before getting outrun late by That’s My Baby. Three of her six career victories have come on this course. The daughter of Flying The Flag is a big threat. 

CAPTAIN‘S CHRISTY finished 2.25 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result. 

Race 4

HARPA showed improvement in her last start over this C&D. She lost a length leaving the start and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Erik The Red is a progressive type and in this field, she can shed her maiden tag. 

ECHO finished third on the polytrack last time. Her penultimate run when second over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville catches the eye. Apprentice Dezahn Louw takes the 4kgs off her back. With a bit of luck in running, she should pose a threat. 

PROMISE OF FIRE is better than her last two starts. She gets a change of headgear and the tongue-tie has been fitted. If putting her best foot forward, she should be involved at the finish.

 

 

Race 5

FRENCH TRIP showed good improvement in his last start over 1750m on this course. He raced from a handy position that day and stayed on to finish third. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry- ripe. He drops back in class and can return to winning ways. 

GURKHA ran on well when winning his last start over 2000m on the polytrack. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect. 

THE GLIDING FISH finished 1.05 lengths behind LUCKY DOLLAR last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. With a bit of luck in running, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 6

ARVERNI KING is better than his last start over 3000m in the Grade 3 Durban Gold Vase. His form prior to that outing was consistent. He has won once, finished second four times and third three times from 13 starts on this course. If putting his best foot forward, he should be involved at the finish. 

VIEW OF THE WORLD finished 0.9 lengths behind TROIS TROIS QUATRE last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. He will enjoy the extra distance on offer and is a threat. 

TROIS TROIS QUATRE was running on when second over 1750m last time. If getting away to a clean start, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 7

DAWN TILL DUSK is better than his last start over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. His penultimate run when second over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Winter course catches the eye. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. The son of Trippi will be finishing strongly and he can notch up his third-career victory. 

KITCHAKAL stayed on when fourth over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He has won twice, finished second once and third twice from nine starts on this course. Callan Murray steps back into the saddle and the combination merit healthy respect. 

THE SHEPHERD returns from a lengthy 45-week break. The son of Captain Of All is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. If not in need of the run, he should give a good account of himself.

Race 8

FORWARD MOTION set the pace over 1600m on this course last time and found extra where it matters most to hold all challengers at bay. She received a five-pound penalty for that victory. She drops back in class and can follow up with another victory. 

SIGN OF FATE raced from a handy position last time and tried hard all the way to the line. She meets a similar line-up this afternoon and is one of the leading contenders. 

BLIND SPEED showed signs of needing her comeback run over 1200m on the polytrack last time. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts on this course. She will strip a much fitter horse today and would not be a shock winner
