Race 1

IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA is better than his last two starts. He raced wide around the turn over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time and was too far out of his ground turning for home. The son of Dynasty was reported to be not striding out in his penultimate run. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from six starts over this distance. He has cracked a good draw of three and with luck in running, he can notch up his sixth-career victory.

JOKER MAN is a winner of his last five starts. He showed good guts when winning his latest effort over this distance at Turffontein. Richard Fourie retains the ride from pole position and the combination merit healthy respect.

GET IMPRESSED finished 1 length behind MONEY HEIST last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. He is in a good space and must be included in all bets.

Race 2

RODEO DRIVE was an easy winner of her last start over 1160m at Turffontein. She produced an eye-catching penultimate effort when second in the Grade 1 Allan Robertson Championship. The daughter of The United States has class about her and if not too green around the turn, she should be hard to beat.

JUST RECKLESS was not disgraced when fourth in the Grade 2 Zulu Kingdom Explorer Golden Slipper last time. She cost herself winning the Grade 1 Allan Robertson Championship in her penultimate start. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand.

SIMPLY MAJESTIC showed good speed when winning her last start over 1000m on the Turffontein Inside course. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She steps up to 1200m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she may be hard to peg back.

Race 3

BJORN IRONSIDE received a bump leaving the start last time. He challenged strongly all the way to the line that day but found one too good in the form of Pistol Pete. The son of Gimmethegreenlight has had the experience of racing on this course. He is a horse with ability and if all went well with his travels, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

CATS PAJAMAS stayed on when third in the Grade 2 Durban Golden Horseshoe last time. He gets the blinkers re-fitted as he drops back in trip. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should be involved at the finish.

DANTONFROMSANDTON ran on well when winning the Non-Black Type Camargue Stud KZN Breeders Juvenile Plate last time. The fitting of the blinkers has done the trick. Richard Fourie retains the ride and he can bring up the hat-trick.

Race 4

QUID PRO QUO was super-impressive when winning the Grade 2 Zulu Kingdom Explorer Golden Slipper last time. She showed a good turn of foot and drew clear with ease. The daughter of Lance should love the step up to the mile. She is the class horse in the race and with luck in running, she should take a power of beating.

FATAL FLAW finished 2.5 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

WHISTLE THE TUNE should have finished closer to the winner last start as she hung outwards and had to be eased at the 150m mark. Richard Fourie retains the ride from a good draw of four and with a bit of luck, she may be the one to cause the upset.

Race 5

THE SPECIALIST ran on from last when third in the Grade 2 Durban Golden Horseshoe last time. He should have finished closer to the winner that day as a horse was falling back on him before the home straight. The son of The United States will love the step up to the mile and from his good draw of two, he may be the one to side with.

COSMIC SPEED was put into a handy position in the Grade 2 Durban Golden Horseshoe last time and won a good race. The son of Querari should have no issues with the rise to the mile. He has ability and if everything goes according to plan in running, he can follow up.

LEGEND OF ARTHUR is the stable companion of the second choice. He finished 2 lengths behind MOUNT PINATUBO last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today. The son of Lancaster Bomber will strip a much fitter horse and he will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 6

AT MY COMMAND had to overcome a wide draw when second in the Grade 2 Post Merchants last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. He ran on powerfully when 0.1 lengths behind LUCKY LAD in his penultimate run. He has found good form in recent outings and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should be the one to beat.

LUCKY LAD just won his last start over 1100m at Turffontein. He is unbeaten from two starts over this distance and both those victories were in Grade 1 races. He is drawn widest of all, but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

SURJAY produced a typical second run after a rest last time. He finished second in this race last year. Luyolo Mxothwa steps back into the saddle and from his good draw of two, he should find a form return.

Race 7

FUTURE PEARL ran on from last when sixth in the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Durban July last time. He won a good race in the Grade 3 Track And Ball Derby in his penultimate run. The son of Futura won this race with ease last year and can defend his title.

NEBRAAS finished 1.9 lengths behind MADISON VALLEY last time. He is 6.5kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The 7yo gelding is a solid back up for the Sean Tarry stable.

ONE WAY TRAFFIC finished 2.2 lengths behind MADISON VALLEY in the race referred to above. He is 5.5kgs better off at the weights today and should also turn the form around. He is drawn in pole position and Keagan de Melo may be able to get the best out of him.

Race 8

DAVE THE KING has found good form since the gelding. He was an easy winner of the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Gold Challenge last time. He took the lead at the 500m mark that day and won with a ton in hand. Mike de Kock opted to miss the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Durban July and coming into this race fresh, may be ideal. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and the son of Global View can bring up the hat-trick.

COUSIN CASEY has finished second in his last three starts. He ran a cracker in the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Durban July last time. The son of Vercingetorix should be ideally suited to 1800m and from pole position, he is one of the leading contenders.

SEE IT AGAIN should have finished closer to the winner in the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Durban July last time. He is having his peak run and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 9

This is a competitive Grade 2 Gold Bracelet and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is HAPPY CHANCE from the Brett Crawford stable. She moved up like a winner in the Grade 1 Ridgemont Garden Province Stakes last time but was touched off by Humdinger. She tries the 2000m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she can go one better.

RASCOVA finished 1.45 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

HOLD MY HAND is better than her last start as she hung outwards throughout. She has won once and finished second twice from six starts over this distance. She is drawn wide in barrier 14 but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

Race 10

PISTOL PETE showed good speed when winning his last start over 1160m at Turffontein. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody is unbeaten from three starts over this distance. He carries a handy galloping mass of 52kgs with Muzi Yeni in the saddle and may be the horse to close off the meeting.

DREAMLAND is a winner of his last four starts. He showed good speed over this distance at Turffontein last time and found extra where it matters most. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

LUNARCAM won a good race over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He finished second in his only C&D attempt and must be considered
