Winning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Wednesday 30th April where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
PLUMBAGO PARK was a beaten odds-on favourite over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The daughter of Rafeef should love the rise to 1400m. Andrew Fortune does duty and she may be the one to beat.
EDUCATOR is an unraced daughter of One World from the Dean Kannemeyer stable with Craig Zackey in the saddle. She is related to three-time winner Mind Set. If not too green, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
ALANNAH has run two fair races to date. She raced from a handy position over this distance last time and stayed on to finish third. The daughter of Ideal World is a progressive type and she should have a say.
Race 2
KIMBALL O’HARA was squeezed leaving the starting stalls last time, but stayed on to finish fourth. He returns from a 12-week break which may have done him the world of good. He takes a drop in class and jumps from pole position. If getting away to a clean start, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
FUTURE SAINT is better than his last start as he was reported to be fatigued. He finished 0.6 lengths behind BEACH PALACE in his penultimate run. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He is carded to race on 28 April 2025 and his porgress will need to be monitored.
BEACH PALACE won a game race over 1600m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. With a bit of luck from the widest draw, he can follow up.
Race 3
WING WALKER has shown good improvement since his 12-week break. Despite over racing in the early stages of his last start, he finished off his race strongly. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Rafeef returns to Maiden Company and he may be the one to side with.
YIPPEE KIYAY is an unraced son of Buffalo Bill Cody from the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable with Muzi Yeni in the saddle. If not in need of this outing, he should give a good account of himself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances.
GRAND FORCE showed pace over 1000m last time, but found one too good in the form of Tam’s Knight. The son of Global View is having his peak run and if confirming his improvement, he should feature.
Race 4
This is a competitive Maiden Plate for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first choice is LIMITLESS SKY from the Wendy Whitehead stable. She was doing her best work late when fifth over this C&D last time. The daughter of Lance is coming along the right way and she may be the one to side with.
KALI BWANA showed very good improvement over this C&D last time. She is a progressive type and should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
QUEEN OF THE SPEAR finished 3.6 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.
Race 5
COTTON RON raced wide around the turn over 1400m last time, but stayed on at the finish. Both his career victories have come over this distance. 4kgs claiming apprentice Jacey Botes retains the ride. He has won on this course previously and may be the one to beat.
NOW I GOT YOU fought hard for his last victory over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Admiral Kitten is in a good space and can follow up.
DOUBLE OLYMPIC was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this C&D. He finished 2.35 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
Race 6
GOOD TRAVELLER has finished fourth in his last three starts. He stayed on at the finish in the Non- Black Type KwaZulu-Natal Stakes last time. The 6yo gelding returns to B Stakes Company and on best form shown, he should be the one to beat.
GOLDEN DESTINY found one too good in the form of Plaza Accord over 1400m last time. He is at his best over this distance and he is one of the leading contenders.
RIVERSTONE returns from a 16-week break and is back from the Western Cape. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from five starts over this distance. If not in need of the run, he has the ability to fight out the finish.
Race 7
AGRADO won a good race over this C&D last time. The manner in which he quickened up and won going away that day was encouraging. The son of Global View is at his best over this distance at this stage of his career. Andrew Fortune is booked to ride and he should take a power of beating.
WISSA’S ON FIRE’S last start is best ignored as he bolted to the start and was not persevered with in the race. He finished second in his penultimate run over this C&D. If finding the form of that outing, he should throw out a challenge.
IBHELE stayed on at the finish over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He drops back in Class and on best form shown, he would not be a shock winner.
Race 8
RICCARDO ran on strongly when third over 1400m on this course last time. Four of his nine career victories have come on this course. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
INGQWELE finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
GURKHA won his maiden easier than the official margin suggests over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He takes on stronger, but has scope and should be up to the task at hand.
Race 9
ONE SCOTCH ran a good race when third over 1400m on this course last time. He raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. It must be noted that Plaza Accord has come out and won again since. He jumps from pole position and with Muzi Yeni back in the saddle, he may be the one to side with.
NUMZAAN won a game race in his last start over 1400m on this course. He set the pace and fought back well to hold all challengers at bay. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
TERMINATOR was touched off in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He won his penultimate outing over this C&D. He is likely to race on the speed from his good draw of three and may be hard to peg back
