Race 1
HERITAGE RIDGE showed very good improvement when third over this C&D last time. She showed speed before getting outrun late. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. It is encouraging that Grant van Niekerk is booked to ride and she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
ANGEL‘S OASIS produced a promising debut effort over this C&D last time. She raced from just off the pace and stayed on at the finish. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.
FRIDA KAHLO finished 2.75 lengths behind the top selection on debut. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight would have gained from the experience and can improve to finish in the placings.
Race 2
This is a weak Open Maiden for the girls and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is LEAD TO GLORY from the Paddy Kruyer stable. She was in need of her last start against winners over 1000m on this course. The daughter of Captain Of All will enjoy the step up to 1250m. She will strip much fitter and back in Maiden Company, she may be the one to side with.
LITTLE LEXI stayed on when third over this C&D last time. She jumps from a good draw of four and is one of the leading contenders.
TRUE HORIZON finished 0.25 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish. JP van der Merwe takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.
Race 3
MAJOR MASTER has produced two good runs to date. He was running on when second over this C&D last time. The son of Master Of My Fate is a progressive type and jumps from a good draw of three. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should take a power of beating.
BOUNCEBACK has shown good improvement in each of his outings to date. He challenged strongly when second over this C&D last time but found one too good in the form of Terminator. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
LATE DECEMBER may not have seen out the mile last time. He finished third over this C&D in his penultimate run. The son of Rafeef has cracked a handy draw of five and cannot be ignored.
Race 4
MENTE ET MANU showed good improvement when third over 1400m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Lancaster Bomber will love the rise to 1800m and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he should have more to come.
GRIPEN stayed on when third over 1600m on this course last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He has cracked pole position and is one of the leading contenders.
AMANCIO stayed on when third over 2000m on this course last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Silvano can earn another cheque for his patrons.
Race 5
JET TO THE SUN finished 0.1 lengths behind GLEE CLUB last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of What A Winter is ideally suited to this course and she should be the one to beat.
COULDITBE finished 1.35 lengths behind GLEE CLUB in the race referred to above. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this C&D. She has cracked a good draw of four and must be included in all bets.
GLEE CLUB lasted long enough when winning her last start over this C&D. The blinkers did the trick on the daughter of The United States. She is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.
Race 6
IM THE BUZZ fought hard when winning her last start over this C&D. She received a four-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Flying The Flag meets a similar line-up this afternoon and may be the one to beat.
TRES CHIC finished 2.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. She has cracked a good draw of two and should be competitive.
HANG OUT THE STARS finished 2.1 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. She is drawn wide in barrier 10 but Richard Fourie should give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
Race 7
ELECTRIC FEELS finished 0.5 lengths behind LOVERS LANE last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the daughter of William Longsword. She is having her peak run today and can go one better.
MRS SHACKLETON finished 1 length behind the top choice in the race referred to above. She is also 3kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around.
XPLICIT CONTENT finished 1.3 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around. Richard Fourie keeps faith in the ride which is encouraging.

HEAR MY VOICE‘S last three starts have been decent. She stayed on when third over this C&D last time. It must be noted that Be Merry has come out and won again since. Grant van Niekerk is booked to ride and with luck in running, she should give the males a run for their money.
