Race 1 

SKITTLES SKIES ran on from last when second over 1500m on the Classic course last time. The son of Skitt Skizzle is coming along the right way and with Philasande Mxoli retaining the ride, he can go one better.

SERRANO set the pace over 1700m last time before getting caught late by I Belong. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody should have no issues with the drop to 1400m. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

YUKON was in need of his debut effort over 1160m at Turffontein. He was slow into stride and lacked a finish. The son of The United States would have come on from the run and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should finish in the placings.

Race 2

CAT O’CLOCK has good consistent form lines to her credit. She showed pace over 1200m last time and stayed on to finish third. The daughter of Rafeef should have no issues with the rise to 1400m and she may be the one to beat.

LINE IN THE SKY finished 0.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around. She has scope and is one of the leading contenders.

PEARL IN HER CROWN is lightly raced with decent form lines to her credit. She raced from a handy position over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time and stayed on to finish fourth. Her best career effort came under Muzi Yeni and she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 3

ZOOMBOMBER’S last three starts have been decent. He set the pace over this distance on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack last time but did not go on with the effort. The son of Lancaster Bomber is the form horse in this contest and he may be the one to side with. He is carded to race on 29 August 2024 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored.

SNEAK PREVIEW showed good signs of a form return in her last start over this C&D. She takes a drop in class and should give the males a run for their money.

GIMME THE FLAME ran a fair race under Raymond Danielson last time. She has dropped in the ratings and must be included in all bets.

Race 4

TEO TORRIATTE has shown signs of a form return in her last two starts. The daughter of The United States won her maiden over this distance. She takes a slight drop in class and it is encouraging that Denis Schwarz retains the ride. She jumps from pole position and may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

PRETTY IN PEARLS finished 0.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.

IDEAL FUTURE won a good race in her last start over this distance on the Classic course. She has won once and finished third twice from five starts over this C&D. Apprentice Trent Mayhew retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.

Race 5

AXEL COLLINS was in need of his comeback run over this distance on the Classic course. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The son of The United States takes a drop in class and on best form shown, he can return to winning ways.

CIRCUS LIGHTS cost himself leaving the start last time. He won a good race over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside in this Class, in his penultimate run. If finding the form of that outing, he should pose a massive threat.

IN THE ETHER is better than her last start over this distance on the Classic course. Her previous form was fair and Muzi Yeni may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

Race 6

KARANGETANG’S last two starts under S’manga Khumalo have been decent. He cast a shoe in running last time which didn’t help his chances. He has won twice, finished second three times and third three times from 14 starts over this distance. He is the stable elect and can notch up his fourth-career victory.

CHASING HAPPINESS is the stable companion of the top choice. She showed good speed when winning her last start over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course. She has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. She is in a good space and merits obvious inclusion.

ROLLWITHTHEPUNCHES finished 2.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is only 0.5kgs better off at the weights today which is not enough for the tables to be turned.

Race 7

PRINCESS LOLA stayed on nicely when second over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course last time. She has won once and finished second three times from seven starts over this distance. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. She is capable of returning to winning ways in this line-up.

GLAWARI took on stronger in her last start over 1000m on the Classic course. If finding the form of her penultimate run, she should pose a threat.

MICKE’S BOMB is better than her last start over a mile. She finished 1.25 lengths behind the second choice, three runs ago. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish
