ORBIT finished 1.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He tries the pacifiers for the first time which may do the trick.
RANDOLPH HEARST produced a strong finish when winning his last start over 1400m. The son of Gimmethegreenlight is a progressive type and will love the extra 100m on offer. He merits healthy respect.
Race 2
GIMMETHATPEARL produced a strong finish when third in the Listed Ladies Mile. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight has won over this distance previously. She is in a good space and can go close.
KAMCHATKA ran a fair race when fourth in the Listed Schweppes Cape Fillies Classic last time. She returns from a 14-week break and if not in need of the run, she should pose a threat.
MY ONLY WEAKNESS won a game race in her last start over this distance. The cheekpieces have done the trick on the daughter of One World. She takes on stronger, but is in a good space and should be up to the task at hand.
Race 3
SONG TO THE MOON found betting support when winning his last start over 1500m. The son of What A Winter will love the rise to 1950m. He runs well for Richard Fourie and can follow up with another victory.
WE HAVE TOUCHDOWN was running on when second over 1800m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Craig Zackey retains the ride and he is a solid back-up for the Justin Snaith stable.
PINOT GRIGIO won a good race over 1600m last time. He finished 0.4 lengths behind the second selection in his penultimate run. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.
Race 4
BEAUTIFUL SIDE ran a fair race over 1700m last time. It must be noted that English Mistress has come out and won again since. The blinkers remain fitted and if seeing out the extra 250m on offer, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
REAL STUNNER showed signs of needing his last start over 1400m. It must be noted that Thomas Jenkins has come out and won again since. He will strip a much fitter horse and with luck in running, he should be involved at the finish.
PAST AND PRESENT has good recent form lines to his credit. He has been costly to follow and from his good draw of two, he can make amends.
Race 5
LA DIVINA set the pace over 1500m last time and fought hard to hold all challengers at bay. She received a two-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Vercingetorix meets a similar line-up and from pole position, she can notch up her fourth-career victory.
ONI SAN finished 2.35 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
KAMAKAZI stayed on when third over this distance last time. The daughter of Captain Of All has dropped to a competitive rating and she would not be a shock winner.
Race 6
KING’S QUEST is better than his last start over 1200m which is a distance short of his best. He finished 0.75 lengths behind ARBITRATION in his penultimate run. He is 1kg better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. The son of Querari may be the one to beat.
ARBITRATION was running on when third over 1600m last time. He won his penultimate outing over this distance. The son of Vercingetorix is in a good space and should go close.
TRIPPI’S SILK stayed on when third over 1200m last time. From pole position, he should run a big race.
Race 7
ABSOLUTELY YES was running on when second in the Grade 3 Winter Nursery last time. He would have come on from the run. JP van der Merwe steps back into the saddle and he should be the one to beat.
CHURCHILLIAN showed good speed when winning his last start over 1000m on this course. The son of Rafeef should have no issues with the rise to 1200m. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
SHE’S MY WORLD was an easy winner of her last start over 1000m on this course. She raced from just off the pace, found a good kick and drew clear of the opposition. Richard Fourie retains the ride and she should give the males a run for their money.
Race 8
CIRCUMBENDIBUS ran a good race when second over this C&D last time. He raced from just off the pace, moved up before getting caught late by Jet Force. He has won once, finished second twice and third once from seven starts over this C&D. JP van der Merwe steps back into the saddle and he can go one better.
WORLDLY is better than his last start over 1000m on this course. His penultimate run when third was encouraging. He is having his peak run today and Richard Fourie may be able to get the best out of him where it matters most.
ESCARPMENT’S last two starts have been fair. He finished 3 lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

ANGEL’S OASIS followed up her maiden victory with a creditable third-place finish over 1100m on this course. She lost a length leaving the start and stayed on at the finish. If jumping on terms, she should be involved at the finish.
BECKY SHARP stayed on when second over this C&D last time. She has won once and finished second three times from eight starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
MUSIC OF THE NIGHT ran a fair race when fourth in the Listed East Cape Fillies Nursery last time. The daughter of What A Winter has plenty of scope and she cannot be ignored.

MAJOR MASTER should have finished closer to the winner last time as he had to be steadied for running room at the 400m mark. The son of Master Of My Fate is having his peak run today and should be cherry- ripe. He runs well for Aldo Domeyer and can return to winning ways from his good draw of four.
CONGRESSMAN followed up his maiden win with an equally impressive victory over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville. He is the stable elect with Corne Orffer retaining the ride, and he can bring up the hat-trick.
HOODIA finished 0.1 lengths behind CHASINGTHERAINBOW last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned
