IAN MACHADO GARRY vs CARLOS PRATES

Welterweight Main Event:

Ian Machado Garry is an Irish striker who has had a successful career within the institution. He currently sits on a record of 8-1 and he went on an 8-fight win streak to start off his UFC career.

Across his 8 wins he has stopped 3 of his opponents by KO/TKO and the remaining 5 bouts have gone the distance with Garry claiming a decision win.

The last time he fought was against Shavkat Rakhmonov in December when Garry pushed him the 5 rounds but lost by unanimous decision.

Carlos Prates is a talented fighter from Brazil who uses his dangerous and brutal striking to overcome his competitors. Since making his debut in 2024 he has built up a flawless record of 4 fights and 4 wins.

It is worth noting that all his victories have been via knockout, with 2 of his fights ending in the 2nd round and the remaining 2 not reaching the end of round 1.

The last time he stepped into the octagon was in November when he met with Neil Magny and beat him by a round 1 knockout.

Garry 1.80

Prates 2.05

PREDICTION:

Despite Prates’ perfect knockout record, I think Garry has the chin and stamina to take this fight all the way, winning on the judge’s scorecards.

ANTHONY SMITH vs ZHANG MINGYANG

Light Heavyweight Co-Main Event:

Anthony Smith is a UFC veteran who has participated in over 20 fights within the organization throughout his career which dates back to 2016. He has had a relatively inconsistent career however and has never strung a long run of winning form together.

His most recent form has seen him fall short in 3 of his last 5 fights, although he has fought some tough opponents. His most recent bout resulted in a round 2 knockout defeat to Dominick Reyes in December.

Zhang Mingyang, fighting out of China has very little UFC experience, with just a singler fight behind him. Prior to that he fought under various MMA institutions, and he was extremely successful. He is known for his power and insane striking and he has impressively won his last 10 fights by round 1 knockout.

The most recent of these round 1 finishes was against Ozzy Diaz in November where he won the fight halfway into the round.

Smith 4.50

Mingyang 1.22

PREDICTION:

I think that Smith will be in trouble for this fight and although he will most likely be the best technical fighter Mingyang has ever taken on, I think Mingyang gets the job done by round 2 knockout.

MALCOLM WELLMAKER vs CAMERON SAAIMAN

Bantamweight Fight:

Malcolm Wellmaker is an American fighter who has a professional record of 8-0 and he will be making his UFC debut this weekend. He is an efficient and clean striker, and his last fight was held in August where he beat Adam Bramhald by round 1 knockout to earn his UFC contract.

Cameron Saaiman is a well-known fighter from South Africa who possesses talent in the field of striking and he also has a ton of stamina. He had a successful start to his UFC career winning his first 3 fights, however since then he has lost 2 in a row.

His most recent fight took place in March where he was up against Payton Talbott and lost by round 2 knockout.

Wellmaker 1.85

Saaiman 2.00

PREDICTION:

I believe that Wellmaker will enter this fight full of energy and ready to make a name for himself, however, after losing two fights consecutively, I think its crunch time for Saaiman and I’m backing him to get the job done and to take this fight by decision.

Suggested Bets:

Garry vs Prates

Garry by decision at 3.70

Smith vs Mingyang

Winner and Exact Rounds: Mingyang in round 2 at 4.75

Malcolm Wellmaker vs Cameron Saaiman

Saaiman by decision at 2.90
