LADY BOMBER stayed on at the finish over 1400m on the turf last time, but found one too good in the form of Faraway Girl. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber should love the rise to 1600m and she should strip much fitter. She is the stable elect and may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

OLIVE OYL stayed on when second over 1400m on the turf last time. The manner in which she has been finishing off her races suggests that she will love the rise to 1600m. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

LANA VIEW showed massive improvement when touched off in her stable debut over this C&D. She would have come on from the run and if confirming her recent improvement, she should be involved at the finish.

RACE 2

GLOBAL DRUMBEAT ran a good race when second over this distance on the turf last time. He was reported to have a mouth injury and coughing that day. The son of Global View has cracked pole position and he can go one better.

BOMBER BAY finished 5.5 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He finished 2 lengths behind FIZZLY BUBBLY in his penultimate outing. He is 7kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around.

FIZZLY BUBBLY ran on well when second over this C&D last time. It must be noted that Golden Grey has come out and won again since. He is in a good space and merits obvious consideration.

RACE 3

OUTBACK EXPRESS has shown improvement in his last two starts. He found one too good in the form of Brigham over this C&D last time. Marco van Rensburg retains the ride and in this field, he may be the one to side with.

PROLIFIC STAR finished 3 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result. He does get a change of headgear which may do the trick.

SEMPRE BELLA finished 4.25 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights which is not enough to turn the form around. The son of Querari can finish in the placings.

RACE 4

GOLDEN PEACE is a winner of his last three starts on the turf course. He was settled at the rear of the field over 1800m last time and finished strongly. The son of Gold Standard is having his first run on this track. He is in a good space and if suited to the surface, he should be the one to beat.

GLOBAL ALLY finished 1.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights and he should finish closer as a result.

FIREALLEY ran a fair race when fourth in the Listed Memorial Mile last time. He finished 1.75 lengths behind the top choice in his penultimate run. He is also 1kg better off at the weights today which is not enough to turn the form around.

 

 

RACE 5

UMZOLOZOLO followed up her maiden win with a good victory over 1400m on this course. She showed a good turn of foot and won going away. The daughter of Elusive Fort is in a good space and she can bring up the hat-trick.

BOSNAY is better than her last two starts. Her victory in the Non-Black Type Walmer Handicap three runs ago, catches the eye. The daughter of Potala Palace is likely to race on the speed from her good draw of three and may be hard to peg back.

STATE SECRET finished 2 lengths behind the second choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights which is not enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of Act Of War will be mowing down the frontrunners.

Race 6

PITON DE NEIGE won a game race over this C&D last time. Despite receiving a bump leaving the start, she showed pace and kept finding all the way to the line. The fitting of the blinkers did the trick. She is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.

SWEET JULIA is better than her last start as she was reported to be not striding out. She finished 0.75 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

JUST ONE KISS showed good improvement when winning her maiden over this C&D. The daughter of Canford Cliffs takes on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.

RACE 7

THUNDER MASTER has finished second in his last two starts. He ran on well over 1600m last time and should have finished closer to the winner. He finished 1.75 lengths behind SWISS WALT in his penultimate run. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can return to winning ways.

SWISS WALT stayed on after showing speed when third over 1000m on this course last time. Won his penultimate outing over this C&D. With a bit of luck in running, he should be involved at the finish.

BEECHAMWOOD BOY has decent recent form lines to his name. All seven of his career victories have come over this distance. The 7yo gelding cannot be ignored.

RACE 8

COASTAL PATH has very good consistent form lines to his name. He moved up well over this C&D last time before getting outrun late by Silver Tycoon. He does have an awkward draw of nine but Richard Fourie knows him well and should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

CHIEF RUNNER showed good improvement in his last start over 1000m on this course. He was slow into stride and stayed on at the business end. If confirming his recent improvement, he should pose a massive threat.

STRANGE MAGIC was running on when second over 1200m on this course last time. She has cracked a good draw of two and should be closer turning for home. Craig Zackey is booked to ride and she should be competitive
