Sporting 2/1 Draw 5/2 Arsenal 13/10

Sporting have 10 points to show for their first 4 games and sit in second spot on the log, 2 points behind Liverpool. They were 2-0 winners at home to Lille first up and then drew 1-1 away to PSV, In round 3 they came away from Sturm Graz with a 2-0 win and on Matchday 4 they thrashed Manchester City 4-1 in another home fixture.

Sporting have won all 11 of their league games and lead the way in the Portuguese top flight, 6 points clear of Porto. They were 4-2 winners at Braga at the weekend, their first league game since coach Ruben Amorim left to take over at Man United

Arsenal have 7 points and a record of 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat and that leaves them 2 points off a top 8 position which carries the prize of automatic qualification for the knockout rounds. They started with a 0-0 draw away to Atalanta and followed up with home wins over PSG (2-0) and Shakhtar (1-0). Last time out they lost 1-0 away to Inter.

In the EPL the Gunners had been losing ground but a 3-0 home win over Notts Forest on Saturday moved them back up to fourth, 9 points off the pace being set by Liverpool.

The Verdict

This is a tough task for the Gunners. In their favour they returned to form in the EPL at the weekend even with some regular starters on the bench but they still look a little short in the match result betting to me. Still, the onus is Arteta's side to force the issue given they have ground to make up for a top 8 spot and I'll nibble at the price boost for Saka to have 2 or more shots on target.

Bets: Bukayo Saka to have 2 or more shots on target, was 5/2 now 3/1 with Sportingbet

Bayern 0.62/1 Draw 7/2 PSG 36/10

With 2 wins and 2 defeats from their first 4 UCL matches Bayern are down in seventeenth position and they have work to do force their way into the top 8. They have won both their home games so far, 1-0 against Benfica last time out and on Matchday 1 they thrashed Zagreb 9-2. In between they lost away from home at Barcelona (4-1) and Villa (1-0).

Bayern currently top the Bundesliga, 6 points clear of Frankfurt with a record comprising of 9 wins and 2 draws,

PSG are in a very precarious position with just 4 points from their first 4 matches. A 1-0 home win over Girona first up was followed by a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal and in Round 3 they let favourite backers down when they drew 1-1 at home to PSV. On Matchday 4 another home fixture against Atletico ended in a 2-1 defeat.

PSG are currently 6 points clear of Monaco at the top of Ligue 1, unbeaten with 10 wins and 2 draws.

The Verdict

Having played 3 of their first 4 matches at home PSG are in big trouble and with Bayern also needing a win it should be a decent contest. Kane has breaking records and will be a popular choice in the goalscorer markets but I'll side with his team mate Jamal Musiala to provide an assist for any of his team mates.

Bets: Player assists, Jamal Musiala, 1 or more at 26/10 with Sportingbet
