Dortmund 7/10 Draw 29/10 Monterrey 38/10
Dortmund topped Group F unbeaten with 2 wins and 1 draw to finish 2 points clear of Fluminense with Sundowns missing out in third on 4 points and Ulsan HD lost all 3 of their matches.
They began with a 0-0 draw with Fluminense before edging out Sundowns 4-3 in a terrific match which they lead 4-1 at one stage before Sundowns fought back. A 1-0 win over Ulsan HD hardly set the pulse racing but it did secure top spot in the group.

Monterrey came through Group E as runners up to Inter Milan. They won 1 and drew 2 of their matches and were 2 points behind the Italian side but 1 better off than third placed river Plate and Urawa Red Diamonds were the groups whipping boys.
Monterrey started with a 1-1 draw against Inter with Sergio Ramos opening the scoring but they were pegged back by half time and that's the way it finished. Next time out they drew 0-0 with River Plate but they cut loose in their final group match which delivered a 4-0 win over Urawa with 3 of their goals arriving in the first half.
The Verdict:
How much should be read into this I'm not sure but Fluminense, who were runners up to Dortmund, beat Inter 2-0 in an earlier Ro16 match, franking the form of Group F rather than Group E from where Monterrey emerged. However with some big surprises in this round over the last couple of days I'd rather look for a goalscorer.
A small and speculative play will suffice and Pascal Gross, who I rated very highly in his time at Brighton, is my pick to be on target for the German side any time.
Bets: Anytime Goalscorer Pascal Gross at 9.5/1 with Sportingbet
