Goodforthegame Predictions:

Chelsea v Brighton (Saturday 28th September)

Chelsea slipped back into mid table after a 2-1 home defeat to league leaders Liverpool last weekend and they remain on 8 points from 6 matches. They finished the game strongly having conceded the first 2 goals but they couldn't find an eqalizer. Chelsea are still looking for a first Premier League home win of the campaign having played out draws against Leicester (1-1) and Sheffield United (2-2).

Brighton are 2 points behind Chelsea after a 0-0 draw at Newcastle last weekend. They haven't won since Matchday 1 when they came away from Watford 3-0 to the good and one other road trip saw them go down 4-0 at Manchester City.

Chelsea have won the last 4 head to heads against Brighton including a 3-0 victory in this fixture last season.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Brighton

Wolves v Watford (Saturday 28th September)

These two teams are the only top flight sides without a win this season. Wolves have drawn 4 and lost 2 of their 6 matches and are second from bottom whilst Watford have drawn 2 and lost 4 and they remain bottom of the standings.

Wolves have been finding it tough going but they came away from Palace with a 1-1 draw last time out, equalizing deep into injury time despite having being reduced to 10 men. At home they have drawn 1-1 with Manchester United and Burnley in addition to suffering a 5-2 hiding at the hands of Chelsea.

A change in coach had seen Watford come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home to Arsenal 2 weeks ago but last weekend they were hammered 8-0 at Manchester City where they shipped 5 goals in the first 18 minutes. Other results on the road include a 1-1 draw at Newcastle and 1-0 defeat at Everton.

Watford won this fixture 2-0 last season although Wolves took revenge with a 2-1 victory in the return.

Prediction: Wolves 1-1 Watford

Spurs v Southampton (Saturday 28th September)

Spurs' inconsistent season continued at Leicester last week as they coughed up a 1-0 lead in a game they eventually lost 2-1 and they are seventh in the table ahead of a number of other clubs who also have 8 points. Their most recent home game delivered a 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace whilst other matches in front of their own supporters include a 3-1 win over Villa and a surprise 1-0 defeat to Newcastle.

Southampton lost 3-1 at home to Bournemouth last week and they remain on 7 points. Away from home this season they have lost 3-0 at Burnley, won 2-0 at Brighton and 1-0 at Sheffield United although those 2 wins came against sides who had a man sent off.

Spurs won this fixture 3-1 last season although Saints gained revenge with a 2-1 home win in the return.

Prediction: Spurs 3-1 Southampton

Everton v Manchester City (Saturday 28th September)

Everton threw in a shocker in last week's 2-0 home defeat to newly promoted Sheffield United and they have slipped into the bottom half of the table after defeats in 3 of their last 4 league outings. They have 7 points, 6 of which were earned at Goodison where they have beaten Watford (1-0) and Wolves (3-2) but they have yet to face any of the current top 5 in the standings.

City bounced back from a surprise 3-2 defeat at Norwich 2 weeks ago with an 8-0 demolition of Watford where Bernado Silva helped himself to a hat trick. They remain 5 points behind Liverpool in the title race with a record of 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat and earlier road trips saw them win 5-0 at West Ham and 3-1 at Bournemouth.

City completed the double over Everton last season winning 3-1 in Manchester and 2-0 at Goodison.

Prediction: Everton 1-3 Man City

Leicester v Newcastle (Sunday 29th September)

Leicester's come from behind 2-1 home win over Spurs last week moved them up to 11 points and a lofty third place in the standings. A week earlier they had been beaten for the first time this season, 1-0 by Manchester United at Old Trafford. Earlier home games produced a draw with Wolves (0-0) and a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth.

Newcastle drew 0-0 at home to Brighton last weekend and their tally of 5 points sees them hovering just above the relegation zone. Their only win this season was a something of a surprise, 1-0 at Spurs but other road trips saw them go down 3-1 at Norwich and at Liverpool.

Home advantage counted for nothing in meetings between these teams last season with Newcastle winning this fixture 1-0 after Leicester had won 2-1 in the North East.

Prediction: Leicester 2-0 Newcastle

Manchester United v Arsenal (Monday 30th September)

United lost 2-0 at West Ham last time out, the first league game in which they have failed to register a goal. That defeat saw them slip to eighth with 8 points against their name and 6 of those points came at Old Trafford with wins over Chelsea (4-0) on the opening weekend and most recently they edged out Leicester 1-0.

Despite playing the bulk of the game with 10 men Arsenal came from 1-0 and then 2-1 down to win 3-2 at home to Aston Villa last week, scoring twice in the final 10 minutes. That victory moved them into fourth place with 11 points and whilst they average more than 2 goals per game this season they haven't kept a clean sheet since a 1-0 win at Newcastle on the opening weekend. Other results away from home include a 3-1 defeat at Liverpool and a 2-2 draw at Watford, a game they led 2-0.

This fixture finished all square at 2-2 last season and the Gunners won the return 2-0 at The Emirates.

Prediction: Man United 2-2 Arsenal
