Durban is the venue for the Nedbank Cup Final on Saturday and Kaizer Chiefs clash with Orlando Pirates for the second week running
Kaizer Chiefs
Chiefs pulled off something of a surprise when they ousred Sundowns in the semi finals, coming from behind to win 2-1 with Ashley Du Preez finding the winner in the 89th minute. In the earlier rounds they saw off Betway Premiership opposition with a 3-1 win over Stellenbosch and 3-0 victory over Chippa whilst their cup run started with a 4-0 win over minnows Free Agents.
In the Betway Premiership Chiefs are down in ninth place and are without a win in their last 7 league outings, a run of 3 draws and4 defeats.
Orlando Pirates
Pirates have won this trophy for the last two seasons and they beat Sundowns 2-1 in last the previous campaign. They began their bid for a hat trick with a 3-1 win at Richards Bay and followed up with a 3-1 home win over Baroka. A quarter final match up with Supersport went all the way to spot kicks after a 2-2 draw with the Bucs holding their nerve and they sealed a place in the final with a 1-0 win over Marumo Gallants.
In the Betway Premiership Pirates are in second spot, all of 12 points behind Sundowns but they do have 2 games in hand on the league leaders
Recent Head to Head
The teams met just a week ago in the betway Premiership and Pirates recovered from conceding an early goal (Lilepo) to level things up through Makgopa before half time and a second half goal from Mofokeng gave them a 2-1 victory.
A last gasp penalty gave Pirates a 1-0 win in the first league meeting this season in early January.
Pirates also won both of last season's league games by a single goal margin.
The Betting:
In the regulation time match result betting Chiefs are 27/10 to win the game with the draw at 2/1 and Pirates can be backed at around 11/10

The Verdict:
Pirates have clearly had the wood over Chiefs in terms of recent head to head results although this season match ups have been settled by a single goal margin.
That gives the Bucs the right to start as favourites but Chief's semi final win over Sundowns is evidence they can raise their game and victory head would rescue what has been a poor season and end their trophy drought.
I was with Pirates in the league game last weekend but this time around I'm thinking we will need more than regulation time to settle the argument and from their it
could go either way.
Bets: Regualtion time draw at 2/1 with Betway
