It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The well-bred son of Vercingetorix would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he can give Wengesai Masawi his first winner. 

BOARDWALK BREEZE showed speed over 1100m on this course last time, but found one too good in the form of Chapbook. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He has scope and is one of the leading contenders. 

EXOCET is an unraced son of Mehmas from the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable with Callan Murray booked to ride. If not in need of the run, he should give a good account of himself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to him and the other unraced entrants.

GIVETHATMANABELLS ran a fair race over this distance on the polytrack last time. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. The Lucinda Woodruff stable is in fine form and with luck in running, he should go close. 

RALPH THE RASCAL was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this C&D. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his wide draw and will be doing his best work at the finish.

ACTOR was running on when second in the Non-Black Type KZN Breeders 1600 last time. He won his maiden over this C&D. The son of New Predator is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. From his good draw of four, he should notch up his second-career victory. 

GO GRAYSON GO was far from disgraced when third in the Non-Black Type KZN Breeders Mile last time. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. Rachel Venniker is likely to use his early gate speed to overcome the wide draw, and he may be hard to peg back. 

TOBACCONIST rallied late when second over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. He meets a similar field and from his good draw of three, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.

Race 6

TERIYAKI should have finished closer to the winner in the Non-Black Type KZN Breeders 1200 as he shifted outwards in the straight. The son of Willow Magic takes a drop in class and 4kgs claiming apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto retains the ride. If keeping on a straight line, he can return to winning ways. 

PRANKSTER was an easy winner of her last start over this C&D. She showed good speed, found another kick and won with a ton in hand. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is in a good space and she should give the males a run for their money. 

WILLOW GEM is a 2yo filly taking on older rivals. She was her own worst enemy in the Listed Ridgemont Devon Air Stakes last time as she over raced in the early stages. Her big mass of 62.5kgs is an obvious concern but she has ability and cannot be discounted.

Race 7

RIVERSTONE was unlucky not to have won his last start over this C&D as he had no clear passage in the run down to the line. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. With a bit of luck in running, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure. 

LICENCE TO THRILL stayed on when sixth over this C&D last time. His penultimate run when third catches the eye. If finding the form of that race, he should pose a threat. 

KHETHIWE‘S DESTINY returns from an 11-week break. She gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which may do the trick. She won her only attempt over this C&D and may find a form return. 

Race 8

MASTEROFTHEDESERT raced from a handy position over 1400m on the polytrack last time and stayed on to finish fourth. His penultimate run when third over 1200m catches the eye. Rachel Venniker takes the 1.5kgs off his back and he may be able to close off the meeting. 

MY ARCHANGEL finished 1.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result. 

MOYA WA LALIGA stayed on at the finish when third over this distance on the polytrack last time. He has won three times and finished second once from six starts over this C&D. Apprentice Savanna Valjalo takes the 4kgs off his back and if all goes according to plan, he can feature
