YIPPEE KIYAY is a son of Buffalo Bill Cody from the Mike and Mathew de Kock stable. Muzi Yeni rides and if not too green in running, he should give a good account of himself.
Race 2
LIMITLESS SKY has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She was slow into stride over this C&D last time, but finished off her race strongly. Calvin Habib is booked to ride and if jumping on terms, the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
KALI BWANA showed good improvement in her last start over this C&D. She stayed on at the finish but found one too good in the form of Keukenhof. If confirming that effort, she should pose a massive threat.
EDUCATOR is an unraced daughter of One World from the Dean Kannemeyer stable with Craig Zackey in the saddle. She is related to three-time winner Mind Set. If not in need of the run, she should give a good account of herself. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances.
Race 3
UN BEL DI tried hard when third over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He has won twice and finished third once from five starts over this distance. The son of Querari is likely to race on the speed and he may be the one to side with.
MOJO MAN held on where it matters most to win his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Jacey Botes which will assist his cause. The son of Rafeef is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
KALAHARI ROLLER finished 0.75 lengths behind the second choice last time. He was unlucky not to have won that day. 4kgs claiming apprentice Mxolisi Mbuto steps back into the saddle and the combination merit healthy respect.
Race 4
DAPPER was running on well when fourth over 1200m last time. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Lancaster Bomber will strip a much fitter horse and from pole position, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
DANCING ON A CLOUD was an impressive winner over this C&D at the second time of asking. The son of Lancaster Bomber takes on stronger, but he has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
RED MOUNTAIN fought hard for his last victory over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He has won once and finished third twice from as many starts on this course. He has cracked a good draw of two and must be included in all bets.
Race 5
PLAZA ACCORD is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He received a six-pound penalty for his last victory. The son of Danon Platina may still be ahead of the handicapper and he can bring up the hat-trick.
SUNDANCE KID set the pace over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time, before getting outrun late by I Salute You who has come out and won again since. If repeating that effort in this field, he should be hard to peg back.
FRENCH FLAME is better than his recent form. He returns from a 10-week break which may have done him the world of good. He finished second in his only attempt over this C&D and cannot be ignored.
Race 6
KHETHIWE’S DESTINY produced an encouraging comeback run over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville. She stayed on strongly at the finish that day which was eye-catching. The daughter of Buffalo Bill Cody won her only attempt over this C&D. She will strip a much fitter horse today. She is the best- weighted runner and can return to winning ways.
BOURBON WARRIOR ran a fair race in the Grade 3 Byerley Turk. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
AGRADO was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1000m on this course. He gets the services of Rachel Venniker who takes the 1.5kgs off his back. If jumping on terms, he should be involved at the finish.
Race 7
WISSA’S ON FIRE’S last start is best ignored as he took off going to the start which took a lot out of him. He was not persevered with in the race. His penultimate run when second over 1000m on this course catches the eye. He will be at peak fitness for this outing and if not doing too much in the prelims, he can return to winning ways.
MAR DEL PLATA finished 2.15 lengths behind REAL WAR last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He will strip much fitter and can go close.
HONOR OF KINGS is better than his last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He won his only attempt over this distance. The son of Vercingetorix brings Western Cape form lines and should fight out the finish. GORGEOUS GUY finished 0.05 lengths behind
Race 8
MIA’S ATHENA ran an encouraging race in her comeback run after 62 weeks off the track. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Hollywood Racing-retained Jockey Sean Veale rides and she would not be a shock winner.
TARA STAR won a game race over this distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She is in a good space and merits healthy respect.
DAFNES DAUGHTER returns from a 15-week break which would have done her the world of good. Andrew Fortune rides and on best form shown, she would not be a shock winner
