The Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles is the venue for this weeks Genesis Invitational and the in form Dustin Johnson tops the betting boards.
The Riviera Country Club is a par 71 layout that always provides a stern test for the players. Distance off the tee is an advantage, but not crucial and more important will be finding the Greens in Regulation and of course putting on these surfaces.
As mentioned above Dustin Johnson is the favourite at 11/2 and is coming off a rest after his victory on the European Tour. He has also won this event before and in fact in the last 7 years has had 6 Top 10 finishes including a victory and 2 runner-up finishes.

SELECTIONS:
Dustin Johnson win only at 11/2
I just can’t ignore Johnson this week given how well he is playing on the one hand and also the fact that he clearly loves the course. The days when he struggled to finish events are long gone and he is shaping up as the man to beat in the upcoming majors.
Patrick Cantlay each way at 14/1
Cantlay has been in very consistent form with a couple of Top 3 finishes in his last 2 starts. He took a while to get used to the course, but has 2 Top 20’s in his last 2 starts and was also Top 5 here 3 years ago. He probably doesn’t win as much as he should have, but is certainly a man you can bank on for place money.
Kevin Na each way at 100/1
I have thrown in a couple of short prices so here is a big one for you. Kevin Na won not so long ago on Tour and if I look at his course form it is patchy, but there have been some excellent performances thrown in including a couple of Top 5 finishes, 3 and 4 years ago respectively. At a triple figure price I am happy to include Na in my staking plan.
Carlos Ortiz each way at 66/1
Here is another man who ticks the course form and current form boxes. Ortiz was Top 5 in his last start 2 weeks ago and has generally been consistent on Tour making cuts and throwing in the odd Top 10 performance. Looking at his course form what catches my eye is a nice place finish two years ago and he has also been consistent here with no missed cuts in his last 4 starts.
