PIRATE PRINCE has finished second in his last three starts. He raced from a handy position in the Non- Black Type PinkDrive Michaelmas Handicap last time, but found one too good in the form of Royal Victory. If repeating that effort in this type of field, he should be the one to beat.
ADDABAR finished 2.15 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
CAPETOWN BEAUTY is better than her last two starts. She has won once and finished second twice from four starts over this distance. She takes a drop in the ratings and may find a form return.
Race 3
FLAG MAN showed good improvement when second in his last start over this C&D. He got going too late that day and was touched off by Spring Flyer. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. Richard Fourie retains the ride and with luck in running, he should go one better.
POWER STAR stayed on when fourth over 1400m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He is at his best over shorter, but is in a good space and should be competitive.
TORIX NIGHT was in need of his debut effort over 1200m on this course. He would have come on from the run and should love the rise to the mile. With the natural improvement that is expected, he can finish in the placings.
Race 4
FAIRY TRIPP ran a good race when second in her comeback run over 1400m on this course last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. The daughter of Trippi will love the rise to the mile and should strip much fitter. With a bit of luck from her awkward draw of eight, she may be the one to beat.
SILKY JET produced a promising debut effort over 1400m on this course. She should have finished closer to the winner that day as she had to be eased at the 150m mark. The daughter of Vercingetorix will love the rise to the mile and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should pose a threat.
AMBITIOUS LADY showed good improvement in her last start over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that Minogue has come out and won again since. She has cracked pole position and should have more to come.
Race 5
PORFIRIO has good recent form lines to his credit. He raced from a handy position over 1400m last time and stayed on to finish third. He won his only attempt on this course, three runs ago. He meets similar company this afternoon and may be the one to side with.
MASTER TOBE showed some signs of a form return last time. He finished 1.55 lengths behind BRAVE VOYAGER, three runs ago. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. On best form shown, he should pose a massive threat.
THUNDER MASALA finished 0.65 lengths behind BRAVE VOYAGER in the race referred to above. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and should turn the form around. If not in need of the outing, he should produce a positive effort.
Race 6
PRINCESS OZMA was outrun late when second over 1600m on this course last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Richard Fourie retains the ride and she should be involved in the fight to the finish.
DRIVE BY was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over 1600m on the polytrack. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She jumps from a good draw of three and merits obvious inclusion.
POURSOMESUGARONME has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. She finished third in both her efforts over this distance. If getting away to a clean start, she should be involved in the fight to the finish.

ULTRA QUICK showed some signs of a form return in his last start over 1400m on this course. He was slow into stride, but the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. He has won once, finished second twice and third twice from eight starts over this distance. He jumps from a good draw of three and can return to winning ways.
MUSIC IS LIFE has good consistent form lines to his credit. He has won once, finished second twice and third twice from as many starts over this C&D. With luck in running, he should throw out a big challenge.
