greyvilleturfWinning Form selections for @Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday 7th June where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge

Race 1

BLIZZARD QUEST made the expected natural improvement when second over 1160m at Turffontein last time. The son of Querari returns from an 11-week break, during which time he was gelded. He will love the rise to 1600m and if not in need of the run, he may have more to come.

MATCHA MINT has placed in all three runs to date. She found one too good in the form of Littlemissmillion over this distance last time. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and if all went well with her travels, she should give the males a run for their money.

BLACKJACK RANDALL returns from a 13-week break, during which time he was gelded. His penultimate run when third over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville was encouraging. He is the stable elect with Tristan Godden up and if jumping on terms, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 2

PLUS FOUR has produced two good runs for the Candice Dawson camp. He challenged strongly when second over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course last time, but found one too good in the form of Bob’s Your Uncle. He would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride, and he may be the one to side with.

TYRCONNELL finished 1 length behind STARS IN HEAVEN last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. He has cracked pole position and is one of the leading contenders.

STARS IN HEAVEN won a game race over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He received a three-pound penalty for that victory. He steps back up to 1600m and if suited to the extra distance, he can follow up.

Race 3

CHILL IN THE AIR caught the eye when third over this C&D last time. He was settled near the rear of the field that day and finished off his race strongly. Raymond Danielson retains the ride and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can notch up his second-career victory.

BOMBERS IN THE SKY finished 0.55 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish. The blinkers are re-fitted which may do the trick.

SASCHA‘S DREAM took a keen hold in the Listed The Independent On Saturday Insider East Coast Cup last time, and did not go on with the effort. Her form prior to that outing was consistent. She drops back in class and it is encouraging that Richard Fourie is booked to ride. From her good draw of three, she should give the males a run for their money.

Race 4

WHO BLINKED caught the eye when third over this C&D last time. He had to overcome the widest draw and finished off his race strongly. He meets a similar field and with a bit of luck from his awkward draw of eight, he can return to winning ways.

ISIKWISHIKWISHI produced a good first run as a gelding over this C&D. He moved up well that day, but found one too good in the form of Turbo Power. The son of Alado will strip a much fitter horse and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

POSITION OF POWER got up where it matters most to win on debut over 1000m on this course. The son of Vercingetorix takes on stronger, but he could be anything and can remain unbeaten. He is the stable elect with Athandiwe Mgudlwa in the saddle.

Race 5

EDUCATOR was super-impressive when winning on debut over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. She lost a length leaving the start, had to be eased at the 1200m mark and finished off her race strongly. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of One World takes on stronger, but she looks to be above average and can remain unbeaten.

QUICKSTEPGAL followed up her maiden win with a hard-fought victory in the Grade 3 Tote Strelitzia Stakes. The daughter of Vercingetorix should have no issues with the rise to 1400m, and she can bring up the hat-trick.

CAPTAINS ENVY finished 0.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and will strip much fitter.

Race 6

WHISPERING DEATH followed up his maiden win with an equally impressive victory over 1600m at Turffontein. He returns from a well-deserved 10-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up. The son of Danon Platina looks to have class about him and if taking to this course, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

MALMESBURY MISSILE lost a length leaving the start in the Grade 3 Tote Godolphin Barb Stakes last time, but stayed on to finish third. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won a Grade 1 since. If jumping on terms, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

YIPPEE KIYAY showed good speed when winning on debut over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody should have no issues with the rise to 1400m. He could be anything and if not too green around the turn, he can go close.

Race 7

DAVE THE KING was super-impressive when winning his comeback effort over 1500m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He set the pace, found another kick and won with ease. The son of Global View won this race last year. He jumps from a good draw of two and should take a power of beating with Callan Murray retaining the ride.

SEE IT AGAIN ran a cracker when second in the Grade 2 Independent On Saturday Drill Hall Stakes last time. He has won three times, finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. He will strip a much fitter horse today and merits healthy respect.

ORIENTAL CHARM returns from a 19-week break after finishing second in the Grade 1 WSB Cape Town Met. This outing will bring him on nicely for the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Durban July as he looks to defend his title. The son of Vercingetorix is likely to race on the speed and he cannot be ignored.

Race 8

OXALIS GOLD is better than her last start in the Grade 2 WSB Fillies Guineas. She was reported to be cut into on her right fore that day. The daughter of Gold Standard was an impressive winner over this C&D, in the Grade 3 Byerley Turk, in her penultimate run. She is at her best over this distance and with a bit of luck in running, she may be the one to beat.

GREEN SAPPHIRE raced wide around the turn in the race referred to above, and she was reported to be not striding out. She won the Grade 3 Umzimkhulu Stakes in her penultimate outing over this C&D. She has cracked a handy draw of five and is one of the leading contenders.

BE MERRY set the pace in the Grade 2 WSB Fillies Guineas and fought hard all the way to the line. She won her penultimate outing over this distance. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber is versatile and she merits healthy respect.

Race 9

The tentative first selection is ON MY HONOUR from the Glen Kotzen stable. He was not disgraced when fourth in the Grade 2 WSB Guineas last time. It must be noted that Eight On Eighteen has come out and won a Grade 1 since. The son of Gimmethegreenlight should have no issues with the rise to 1800m and he should strip much fitter. If all goes according to plan in running, he may be the one to beat.

ZEITZ is better than his last start in the Grade 1 SplashOut Cape Derby. He returns from a 15-week break, but did gallop on this course on 14 May 2025. He is a horse with class and with luck from the widest draw, he should pose a threat.

WILD INTENT tried hard when second over 2450m in the Grade 1 TAB SA Derby last time. He returns from a well-deserved 10-week break. If all went well with his travels, he should fight out the finish.

Race 10

TARA STAR’S last three starts have been good. She raced from a handy position over 1200m on this course last time and stayed on to finish second. The daughter of Just As Well meets a similar line-up this afternoon and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, she should be the one to beat.

MILLION VOICES was touched off in the Dash over 400m on this course last time. She has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this distance. She will strip much fitter and with luck in running, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

HURRICANE CAT ran a creditable race behind the second choice last time. She is a filly that shows speed in her races and Muzi Yeni may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most
