Race 1

GOLDEN DESTINY took on winners in his last start in the Grade 3 City Of Cape Town Cape Of Good Hope Nursery. He produced a decent debut effort over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. The son of Rafeef returns from a 30-week break, during which time he was gelded. He returns to Maiden Company and if not in need of the run, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

PALACE GIFT’S last three starts have been decent. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in his last start has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

LEGAL COUNSEL finished 1.25 lengths behind the second selection on debut. He should love the rise to 1400m and with Richard Fourie booked to ride, there should be good improvement to come.

Race 2

MY ONLY WEAKNESS raced from a handy position over 1600m last time but found one too good in the form of State Capitol. The daughter of One World should be ideally suited to 1400m. She jumps from pole position and can go one better in this line-up.

POCKET DIAL may not have seen out the 1600m at this stage of her career. She finished 3.25 lengths behind the top choice that day. She is only 0.5kgs better off at the weights today which is not enough for the tables to be turned.

TIME IN PARIS stayed on when fourth over 1250m on this course last time. The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will love the rise to 1400m. Craig Zackey may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

Race 3

LAVENDER BAY tried hard when second over 1800m on this course last time. She is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. The daughter of Twice Over is a progressive type and with a bit of luck from her wide draw of ten, she should be the one to beat.

LITTLE SUZIE was a tad disappointing in her last start over 1400m on this course. It must be noted that Festival Chic has come out and won again since. The well-bred daughter of Trippi should be suited to the mile and with luck, she should throw out a big challenge.

SANSA STARK rallied late when second over this C&D last time. The daughter of Erupt has finally cracked pole position and it would be no surprise to see her in the winner’s enclosure.

Race 4

HAPPY DAYS showed good improvement in his last start over this C&D. He moved up like a winner but was caught late by Groovejet. Interestingly, the blinkers have been removed by his conditioner. If confirming his recent improvement, he should go close to winning in this line-up.

CONGRESSMAN finished 2 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe.

WOOD WORLD finished 2.5 lengths behind the top choice in the race referred to above. The pair meet on the same weight terms and he may battle to turn the tables. He gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand.

Race 5

LINDBERGH showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1600m on this course. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. He won his only attempt over this C&D. The son of Lancaster Bomber should strip much fitter and he has cracked a good draw of four. Kabelo Matsunyane is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

TYRION LANNISTER was running on when third over 1000m last time. He is having his peak run and on best form shown, he should throw out a big challenge to the top choice.

SAN PEDRO’S last three starts have been good. He has won three times and finished second three times from eight starts over this distance. If not in need of this outing, he should be hard to peg back under Sean Veale.

Race 6

KNOCKOUT ran on strongly when winning her last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She received a six-pound penalty for that victory. The daughter of Danon Platina is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.

PHILOSOPHISE won a good race in her last start over 1250m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

HAMPSTEAD HEATH has good form lines since winning her maiden. She cost herself last time as she hung inwards from the 500m mark. The daughter of Rafeef gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand.

Race 7

RAPIDASH got up where it matters most when winning his last start over 1800m on this course. He received a five-pound penalty for that victory. The son of Danon Platina is maturing into a nice horse and could have a good season ahead of him. Grant van Niekerk retains the ride from barrier three and he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure once again.

SACHDEV finished 3.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

PONTE PIETRA ran a good race when third over 3200m in the Grade 3 World Pool Gold Cup. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He is suited to this course and must be included in all bets.

Race 8

NAUSHON ran on well when winning his last start over 1800m on this course. He received a four-pound penalty for that victory. He has won once, finished second four times and third once from as many starts over this C&D. Oswald Noach retains the ride and the combination can follow up.

OZARK has fair recent form lines to his name. He has won once, finished second once and third once from six starts over this distance. Rachel Venniker is booked to ride and she may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

UNSOLVED RIDDLE was running on when third over 1400m last time. He is enjoying racing on this course. He does have an awkward draw of nine to contend with but gets the services of Richard Fourie who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

Race 9

LOVERS LANE stayed on when third over this C&D last time. It must be noted that Shifting Path has come out and won again since. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and in this field, he can notch up his second-career victory.

ISCHYRO showed good improvement in his last start under Mpumelelo Mjoka. He raced from a handy position before getting caught late by Heart Stealer. If confirming his recent improvement, he may be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top choice.

NILE THE BOSS stayed on when second over 1400m last time. She finished 1 length behind the second choice in her penultimate run. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

Race 10

MISS MARGUERITE received a bump leaving the starting stalls last time and ran on well to finish fourth. She has won twice and finished third twice from six starts over this distance. She is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. She is likely to be settled near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

LADY LOOK ALIKE finished 1.55 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and she may have to settle for the same result.

NORDIC QUEST was an easy winner of her last start over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. She returns from a well-deserved 13-week break. She has won once and finished second once from three starts on this course. If not in need of this outing, she should give a good account of herself
