Winning Form selections for all races from @Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Saturday 19th October where there are huge prizes available in the free to enter Punters Challenge
Race 1
CORK BAY has produced two good runs to date. He moved up like a winner over this C&D last time, but was caught late by Bagatelle Flash. The son of Rafeef is coming along the right way and in this field, he should take a power of beating.
SHIPINDANI is the stable companion of the top choice. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was held up for a run between the 350m mark and 250m mark. The daughter of One World is coming along the right way and should strip much fitter. She is a solid back up for the Andre Nel stable.
GIMMEATHRILL was in need of his debut effort over this C&D. The son of Gimmethegreenlight would have come on from the run and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should make the natural improvement.
Race 2
FUTURE SWING cost himself winning the Grade 3 World Pool Gold Cup last time as he hung inwards in the closing stages. He returns from a 12-week break which may have done him the world of good. He has won twice, finished second once and third twice from six starts on this course. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and if not in need of the run, he can notch up his eighth-career victory.
RAPIDASH stayed on when second over 2000m in the Listed Settlers Trophy last time. He won his penultimate start over this C&D. Trainer Justin Snaith holds a strong hand in this contest and the son of Danon Platina merits healthy respect.
PACAYA was a beaten odds-on favourite in the Non-Black Type Friendly City Stakes last time. He has won once and finished second twice from four starts on this course. He will be at peak fitness and must be included.
Race 3
DOUBLE GRAND SLAM was unlucky not to have won the Grade 1 Ridgemont Garden Province Stakes last time as she had no luck in the straight. She returns from a 15-week break which would have done her the world of good. She has won four times and finished second once from five starts over this distance. She races well fresh and is the horse to beat.
RED PALACE won easier than the official margin suggests in the Grade 2 Riding High Together Gold Bracelet. The daughter of Potala Palace is unbeaten from two starts on this course. She prefers further but is one of the leading contenders.
PRINCESS IZZY has good consistent form lines to her credit. She stayed on when third in the Grade 3 Baker McVeigh Diana Stakes last time. She has racing fitness on her side and cannot be ignored.
Race 4
DOUBLE DASH has shown improvement in her last two starts over 1400m. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the closing stages. The daughter of Master Of My Fate is having her peak run today and from her good draw of four, she can return to winning ways.
LOTUS ISLAND showed improvement in her last start over this C&D. She was settled at the rear of the field and did her best work in the straight. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She is having her peak run and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
ENGLISH MISTRESS has good consistent form lines to her credit. She finished 0.75 lengths behind LAVENDER BAY last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.
Race 5
SONG TO THE MOON made late headway when second over this C&D last time. He had to overcome the widest draw of 15 that day. The son of What A Winter is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. Richard Fourie retains the ride and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
INDUSTRIALSTRENGTH finished 0.1 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and there should not be much separating them at the finish.
LA PULGA was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. He returns from a well- deserved 11-week break. The son of Pomodoro takes on stronger, but he has scope and should be up to the task at hand.
Race 6
LEGAL COUNSEL made the expected natural improvement when winning his maiden over 1400m on this course. He raced from a handy position, quickened up well and drew clear of the field. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Legislate takes on stronger but he has scope and should be up to the task at hand.
RADICCHIO ran on well when winning his last start over 1400m on this course. He is versatile and from pole position, he is one of the leading contenders.
DEVIL A SAINT set the pace over this C&D last time and found another kick to cause a massive upset. He received a four- pound penalty for that victory. He is in a good space and it would be no surprise to see him in the winner’s enclosure.
Race 7
CHEEKY LADDIE finished 0.4 lengths behind ASPECT last time. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today which is enough for the tables to be turned. He returns from a 25-week break and if not in need of the run, he should notch up his third-career victory.
ASPECT is a winner of his last five starts. It must be noted that multiple horses from his last form line have come out and won since. He is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.
OLIVER ran on strongly when winning his last start over this C&D. He has won twice and finished third twice from as many starts over this C&D. He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from his awkward draw of nine and will be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 8
PEREGRINE FALCON showed good guts and determination when winning his maiden at the third time of asking. He was returning from a lengthy 32-week break that day. The son of Gimmethegreenlight takes on stronger but he looks to have some class about him. With his handy galloping mass of 55.5kgs, he should run a big race.
MAPHAKA was super-impressive when winning his maiden at the second time of asking over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He returns from a well-deserved 11-week break. The son of Gimmethegreenlight takes on stronger, but he is progressive and could be anything.
O’TENIKWA was outrun late when third over this C&D last time. He is likely to adopt the same tactics this afternoon and merits healthy respect.
Race 9
TAMBOURINE MAN showed speed over 1000m on this course last time and tired late. The 5yo gelding will love the step up to 1250m. Grant van Niekerk is likely to use his early gate speed to overcome the widest draw and in this field, he can return to winning ways.
CHAMPAGNE MAC showed some signs of a form return in his last start over 1400m on this course. He raced from a handy position before getting outrun late. This is his first run for the Lunga Gila stable and it is encouraging that Richard Fourie is booked to ride.
CAPTAIN‘S DESTINY stayed on when fourth over 1000m on this course last time. The blinkers seem to have done the trick on the daughter of William Longsword. She should give the males a run for their money.
Race 10
SAHARA CAT returns from a 12-week break and is having her first run this season. The daughter of One World is unbeaten from two starts over this distance. She is the class horse in the race and from pole position, she can return to winning ways.
BE MERRY followed up her maiden win with an equally impressive victory over this C&D. She won a lot easier than the official margin suggests that day. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.
MISS MARGUERITE stayed on when third over this C&D last time. She has won twice and finished third three times from seven starts over this distance. If getting away to a clean start, she should be involved at the finish
