PSL football and Big Bash League cricket are among our Wednesday’s betting highlights and we take a closer look in our Daily Diary.
FOOTBALL
There are five PSL matches taking place on Wednesday night and Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to get back on the winning path and are 15/20 to do so at home to Highlands Park.
SuperSport United, who recently beat Chiefs, are home to Maritzburg United and are 9/10 for the win and our big fancy on Wednesday is Cape Town City at home to AmaZulu at a price of 11/10.

The second Carabao Cup Semi-Final is also televised on Wednesday night and sees Leicester at home to Aston Villa. Leicester are going incredibly well in the EPL and are 7/20 favourites, the draw at 9/2 and Aston Villa, who may well be focusing on what looks to be a relegation battle are 31/4. We think Leicester can win this won and win it well and the handicap of (-1) appeals at 17/20.

GOLF
Time to take a look at the South African Open which starts on Thursday morning and takes place at the Rand Park Country Club. There is, as to be expected, a strong local flavour at the top of the betting board with Oosthuizen 5/1, van Rooyen 9/1 and Charl Schwartzel, who continues his return from injury priced at 11/1, you can get 14/1 and better the balance.

TENNIS
The ATP Cup continues on Wednesday and the action will be televised. Nadal and Djokovic are both very short priced at 1/100 to win their matches and our bet for the day is Kevin Anderson at 8/10 against Gael Monfils.

HORSE RACING
Local horse racing takes place at the Greyville Polytrack with the 8 race card gets going at 12:55 and finishes at 17:10.
Punters will be hoping that Glitter and Gold can get them off to a strong start in the opener and the current price of 7/10 suggests that this one will have plenty of support.
On to the Pick Six legs and finding a banker that doesn’t look easy and we are leaning towards No. 5, American Princess in Race 5, currently priced at 18/10 and under the guidance of Anton Marcus
