BettingDiaryInternational Cricket and Super Rugby are amongst Friday’s sports betting highlights and we take a closer look in our Daily Diary.

CRICKET

South Africa and England meet in the 2nd ODI on Friday after South Africa picked up convincing victory in the opener. Bookmakers are not over reacting to that though and the World Champions, England, are the 4/7 favourites with South Africa on offer at 29/20. There are a host of Exotic Markets available on the game including the first innings score over or under 285.5 runs trading at 17/20 either side of the line

England are 9/10 to hit the most 6’s with South Africa 27/20, the tie 6/1 and if you think De Kock can product more magic he is 15/2 to win Man of the Match.

RUGBY

There are 2 Super Rugby matches lined up on Friday morning with the Highlanders at home to the Sharks who claimed a good win over the Bulls on the weekend. The home team are favourites at 9/20 with the Sharks 2/1 and the handicap is set as Highlanders (-6.5). We like a speculative play on this one and this is Makazole Mapimpi first try scorer in the match at 12/1.

The second match of the morning sees the Brumbies take on the Rebels, with the Rebels looking to bounce back from a very disappointing defeat away to the Sunwolves. The Brumbies had to work hard for their win over the Reds last week and they are 4/10 for the win, with the Rebels 22/10 and the handicap of Brumbies (-7.5).

There is no doubt where the Brumbies are going to attack the Rebels and for Folau Fainga’a is 13/20 to score at any time in the match and 7/1 to be the first try scorer.

HORSE RACING

Local horse racing takes place at the Fairview Turftrack, an 8 race card starting at 12:40 and set to finish at 16:40.

A look at the card suggests one of those days where it is either going to be pretty easy to catch the Pick Six or really difficult as there are a number of firm favourites and we think it may be worth waiting till the 7th Race for your banker, Horse No. 1, Luna Wish currently priced at 13/10 for the win
