The FedEx Cup Play-Offs get underway this week in Memphis, Tennessee, as the top 70 players on the PGA Tour tee it up in a high-stakes battle to secure their place in the next round. With the field trimmed from here, every shot matters, and the pressure is on from the first hole. We’ll take a look at this week’s tournament from a betting perspective and highlight a few potential value picks.
Course Overview: TPC Southwind
TPC Southwind in Memphis serves as the stage for this week’s action. A par-70 layout measuring 7,244 yards (6,624 metres), the course demands both accuracy and strategy. The track features gently undulating terrain, tree-lined fairways, and several doglegs that place a premium on shot placement over brute strength.
What really sets TPC Southwind apart are its small, fast Bermuda greens, which are well-protected by bunkers and water hazards. Approach play and putting under pressure will be critical this week, especially as players face the signature holes like the par-3 11th and the par-4 18th, both of which have proven to be round ruiners in the past.
With historically firm conditions and unpredictable wind patterns, precision off the tee and sharp iron play are essential—players who can shape shots and control spin will be at a significant advantage.

SELECTIONS:
Scottie Scheffler at 3.80
Scheffler is going into this year’s FedEx Cup play-offs in a very similar position to last year, dominating world golf. In his last five tournaments he has finished eighth or better every time including two wins, one being the Open Championship. His best performance at this track is 4th last year suggesting he is getting the hang of the layout and with the form he is in, it will be very difficult to beat him this week.
Scottie Scheffler to win at 3.80.
Harris English at 46.00.
English is also coming into this week on a solid run of form. He has secured two top fives in his last three starts. His best result was runner-up at this year’s Open Championship two weeks ago. His course form is a bit hit and miss and his best finish was 4th in 2021.
He is playing the best golf of his life though and I want him onside this week.
Harris English each way at 46.00.
Victor Hovland at 36.00
Hovland has a solid record at the St. Jude Championship, finishing runner-up, thirteenth and twentieth over the last three years. He has also slowly started to find his game again after a tough start to the season recording an eleventh and third place finish in two of his last three starts on tour. He has won the FedEx Cup before and knows what it takes to finish on top.
Victor Hovland each way at 36.00.
Emiliano Grillo at 126.00
Grillo has a runner up and a top 20 in his last 5 starts. This will be his 4th start at TPC Southwind and while he has not shot the lights out he has form figures of 33,20 and 31 so he has been solid at the course.
I was looking for a triple figure bet to complete my 4 ball and he looks the best of them in this small field.
Emiliano Grillo each way at 126.00
