Everton 61/10 Draw 7/2 Liverpool 4/10

Everton thrashed Wolves 4-0 at Goodison in midweek to move 5 points clear of the drop zone, some result considering they had not scored in their last 4 matches and were games 5 without a win

Liverpool's lead in the title race was trimmed to 7 points when they played out a 3-3 draw at Newcastle on Wednesday. Arsenal and Chelsea are now the closest chasers and that was only the third league game where had dropped points with the others being a 2-2 draw at Arsenal and a 1-0 home defeat to Forest.

The Verdict

Everton can be stubborn at Goodison and will take plenty from the midweek win but they now come up against the league leaders. Not much stands out to me here so a nibble in the anytime goalscorer market will do and Alexander-Arnold, who I maintain is value at this sort of price, gets yet another chance.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Alexander-Arnold at 11.5/1 with BoyleSports

Aston Villa 4/10 Draw 41/10 Southampton 68/10

Villa had gone 8 without a win in all competitions heading into Wednesday's home game against poor travellers Brentford and they came through with a 3-1 victory to move back into the top half of the standings with 22 points.

Southampton went down 5-1 at home to Chelsea in midweek, they had their skipper sent off when they were already behind and the writing was on the wall from there onwards. In their most recent road trip they came away from Brighton with a very useful 1-1 draw but they remain at the foot of the standings with just 5 points, 4 fewer than Wolves and Ipswich who are also in the drop zone.

The Verdict

That was much a needed win for Villa in midweek and this looks an ideal opportunity to follow up. Lucas Digne's ability to provide decent service from out wide earns him the vote to provide an assist

Bets: Player Assists Lucas Digne 1 or more at 29/10 with Sportingbet

Brentford 1.96/1 Draw 2.55/1 Newcastle 1.38/1

Brentford's dreadful away record was extended in their defeat at Villa in midweek. Of their tally of 20 points 19 were earned in home games from 6 wins and 1 draw and they have scored 22 goals and conceded 12 in front of their own supporters.

Newcastle led 1-0 and 2-1 and then showed character to come from 3-2 down to snatch a draw from their home fixture against Liverpool. They conceded a late equalizer in a 1-1 draw at Palace last weekend and remain in mid table, side by side with Brentford on 20 points.

The Verdict

Brentford's home record is formidable but they don't keep many clean sheets and having scored 3 against the league leaders in midweek I believe Newcastle can score 2 or more here.

Bets: Away team goals over 1.5 at 0.93/1 with BoyleSports

Crystal Palace 46/10 Draw 3.05/1 Man City 0.62/1

Palace are fourth from bottom but after a 1-0 win at Ipswich on Tuesday they now have 3 points worth of daylight over the relegation zone. They struck very late to earn a 1-1 draw at home to Newcastle last Saturday, the third time they have finished all square in their last 5 league games and their only other league win this season came at home to Spurs.

City snapped a 7 game win-less run across all competitions with a 3-0 home victory over Forest on Wednesday. They are still 9 points behind league leaders Liverpool and 2 shy of Chelsea and Arsenal and they head to Selhurst Park with an away record comprising of 3 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats.

The Verdict

City will no doubt feature in many a weekend multiple but Palace have steadied their ship in recent times and should be competitive. I'm looking for a card candidate and Daanile Munoz of Palace fits the bill.

Bets: Player to be carded Daniel Munoz at 2.15/1 with Betway

Man United 0.68/1 Draw 2.85/1 Notts Forest 44/10

United went down 2-0 at Arsenal on Wednesday a first defeat under their new coach and they are just below halfway in the standings with 19 points. They saw off Everton 4-0 and Leicester 3-0 in recent league games at Old Trafford.

Forest were on the heels on the top 4 not to long ago but they have lost 3 of their last 4. They remain in Manchester having lost 3-0 to City on Wednesday and in another recent tough assignment they went down 3-0 at Arsenal.

The Verdict

United were second best against Arsenal but they have generally looked a better side since Ten Haag departed. Prior to the defeat to the Gunners a few different players had found the net for United but I maintain Bruno Fernandes remains the most reliable.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Bruno Fernandes at 2.35/1 with BoyleSports
