Wednesday night's Uefa Champions League semi final first leg action sees Barcelona, the outright favourites to win the tournament, host Inter

Barcelona
Barca won the firsts leg of their quarter final match up with Dortmund 4-0 on home turf (Raphinha a brace for Lewandowski and Lamal). The return in Dortmund was nowhere near as straight forward, Barca were 2-0 down at one stage but an own goal calmed the nerves. They eventually lost 3-1 on the night but went through 5-3 on aggregate.
Barcelona saw off Benfica in the Ro16, coming through 4-1 on aggregate after winning the first leg in Lisbon 1-0 and the return 3-1. They finished as runners up to Liverpool in the league phase with a record of 6 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat. They lost their first match away to Monaco before reeling off 6 straight wins and a 2-2 draw at home to Atalanta.
With 5 rounds of La Liga matches to go Barca top the standings, 4 points clear of Real Madrid whom they beat 3-2 (aet) in the final of the Copa del Rey at the weekend.
Inter
Inter booked their semi final place with a 4-3 aggregate win over Bayern. They won the first leg 2-1 in Munich (Martinez and Frattesi) and an action packed second half of the return finished 2-2 (Martinez and Pavard) .
Inter had to much for Feyenoord in the Ro16, winning the first leg 2-0 away from home and following up with a 2-1 victory in Milan. Inter won 6, drew 1 and lost 1 of their league phase matches to finish fourth and advance straight to the Round of 16 and their only defeat came away to Leverkusen (1-0).
In Serie A Inter have lost their last 2 league games and are now in second spot, 3 points adrift of Napoli with 4 rounds of matches to go.
The Betting
Barca are 6/10 to win the first leg with the draw at 34/10 and Inter are 4/1.
A game of 3 goals or more is 0.53/1 and its 0.62/1 for both teams to score.
To qualify for the final Barca are 9/20 and 2/1 to go on and lift the trophy
Inter are 16/10 to reach the final and 4.45/1 to win the UCL outright
The Verdict
Dortmund showed that Barca can be got at although the Spanish side were away from home that day and 4-0 up after the first leg. Inter have done very little wrong in the UCL but their recent dip in Serie A form would be of some concern.
I'm going to dip into the “assist” market and Lamine Yamal is my pick for Barca.
