SCARLETS V GLASGOW
Posted 30 March 09h36
Once again this handicap of Scarlets +8.5 is exactly where I projected it in my Sunday night exercise on the forum.
The total points line of 45.5 also looks about right and I am going to take a speculative play at the HT/FT market. Glasgow started slowly last week before coming back to beat Cardiff and I will take 27/5 that they trail at the break but come back to win.
BET: 1 unit HT/FT Scarlets/Glasgow at 27/5 at Betxchange
MUNSTER V CARDIFF
Posted 30 March 09h30
This is not a game where I am strong on the handicap as the current line of -18.5 Munster is exactly where I set it and has been stable all week.
I am leaning Munster though and am expecting a strong start for the home team.
BET: 3 Units, Munster -8.5 half time handicap at 19/20 at WSB
BENETTON V CONNACHT
This handicap has moved out from -5.5 to the current line of -10.5 Benetton.
At these levels I am reluctant to get on the minus and I will have a nibble at the total points line at 44.5.
BET: 3 units Total Points over 44.5 at 1.93/1 at Betxchange
REDS v BRUMBIES
Posted 29 March 12h58 (to be updated)
There was massive line movement in this game with the Brumbies opening -3.5 and the line now sitting -3.5. I handicapped this -7.5 Reds so was not surprised to see the movement, though lacked the confidence to get on the early line.
I think that the handicap is now about right and find myself looking at the Total Points line of 54.5. My instinct is to go overs here, but there is the possibility of showers and this has me hesitating. I am going to give this one further thought and will return late on Friday with my bet.
Update: 30 March 09h15
It has been a decent weekend and I am really battling for a firm play here. I think the Reds will win but don’t see them running away with it and the 1-12 is a decent default play in these situations.
BET: 2 units Reds by 1-12 inclusive at 17/10 at WSB
BET: TO FOLLOW
HIGHLANDERS v HURRICANES
Posted 29 March 12h56
I handicapped this game Highlanders +6.5 and the line currently sits +8.5 so on the face of it I should be leaning towards the home team. I can’t help, but agree with Forum poster, Southpaw though that the Highlanders could be due a poor game and this Hurricanes team has certainly impressed this season and another convincing win could be on the cards.
BET: 4 Units, Hurricanes -8.5 at 9/10 at at Boylesports*

MOANA PASIFIKA v BLUES
Posted 29 March 11h42
This handicap is high at 21.5 points, but given I handicapped this game Pasifika +25.5 I think there might be some value in the Blues. I was considering a Blues overs points play at 41.5, but the weather looks a bit dodgy and I am going to stick with the handicap here and hope the Blues win this comfortably.
BET: 3 Units, Blues-21.5 at 9/10 at 10/11 at Betxchange
FIJIAN DRUA v WESTERN FORCE
Posted 29 March 11h40
There was massive movement in the Drua’s game last week as far as the Total Points line was concerned. It opened close to 60, but ended up coming into 43.5 on reports of “biblical” weather conditions. Many a punter would have been shocked to turn on the TV and see sunshine at the start of the game and needless to say the overs arrived with ease and we had a match that finished in the 70’s.
I am leaning to the Force on the Handicap here (+11.5) as I was impressed by them last week and the Drua do not strike me as a team that is going to put sides away without conceding points, but that being said I am once again looking at the Total Points line here and thinking that under 55.5 is the play. I am basing this not on the possibility of rain (there is some forecast), but on the humidity levels which are in the 90’s and this usually makes for a muggy game with plenty of errors.
BET: 4 Units, under 55.5 points at 9/10 at WSB
DRAGONS V ZEBRE
Posted 16h05 28 March
This game kicks off at the same time as Leinster v Bulls and I think even close relatives of the Dragons and Zebre will have their eyes on Dublin.
I am not going to spend too much time on this one and will trail Nathan whose numbers suggested Dragons are the play.
BET: 2 units Dragons -6.5 at 9/10 at Betxchange*
*Congrats to Betxchange on their new website – a big improvement
WARATAHS V REBELS
Posted 15h48 28 March
The handicap opened Waratahs -10.5 and it has edged out slightly to -11.5.
Neither of these teams have been particularly trustworthy and I am going to give the handicap a miss.
Conditions will be good in Sydney and I think this could be a free flowing game.
Rebels matches have been high scoring with 3 of their last 4 matches having 79 points or more in them. The last 2 head to heads would also have seen over 57.5 arrive.
BET: 4 units over 57.5 points at 10/11 at Pokerbet*

CRUSADERS V CHIEFS
Posted 15h35 28 March:
This handicap opened +7.5 and after some initial support for the visitors the line has settled around the +5.5 mark with support for the Crusaders on the back of news that Mckenzie was not playing.
The Crusaders will be desperate to break their duck but I think the Chiefs will have that bit much for them and will back the Chiefs to win by 1-12 points.
The total points line of 50.5 looks well set although if pushed I would go unders. The Crusaders have shown they can defend but appear to lack a cutting edge on attack.
BET: 2 units Chiefs by 1-12 points inclusive at 6/4 at Sportingbet*
