MASTER BOMBER ran on well when second over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. Dubbelosix has won again. He should love the rise to 1800m and with a bit of luck in running, he should be too good for this field.

SILVER PLATTER has finished second in his last three starts. He would have come on from his last outing and should strip much fitter. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

BLACK PLATINA should have finished closer last time as he received a bump at the 200m mark. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. He can earn another cheque for his patrons.

Race 3

WOZA NAWE produced a good comeback run over 1400m on the turf. She raced from a handy position and fought hard all the way to the line. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. If taking to the polytrack, she can notch up her third-career victory.

JULIET TANGO stayed on after a slow start over this distance last time. She is having her peak run and if all went well with her travels, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

KADIZORA has fair consistent form lines to her name. The saddle was reported to have slipped in her last two outings. Tristan Godden is booked to ride, and she cannot be ignored.

Race 4

TROIS TROIS QUATRE was unlucky not to have won his last start over 1800m on the turf. He finished 0.9 lengths behind FIELD MARSHAL that day. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. With a bit of luck in running, he can return to winning ways.

JOHNNY THE THIEF finished 1.15 lengths behind FIELD MARSHAL in the race referred to above. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish.

FIELD MARSHAL won a game race over 1800m on the turf last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this distance. He has won on this course previously and merits healthy respect.

EVENTIDOR stayed on at the finish when fourth over this distance on the turf last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He has won twice and finished third twice from six starts over this C&D. Apprentice Jacey Botes takes the 4kgs off his back which will assist his cause. The 6yo gelding will be mowing down the frontrunners.

SHINY BOB was running on when second over 1800m last time. He has no issues with the drop to 1600m. Jabu Jacobs retains the ride and he should pose a massive threat.

NUMZAAN showed good guts when winning his last start over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He drops back in class and despite his big mass of 64kgs, he can follow up.

BRISTOL HERCULES stayed on nicely at the finish when fourth over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He has won once and finished third twice from four starts over this distance. He will strip much fitter and if taking to the polytrack, he may be the one to beat.

SHOEFELLA is the stable companion of the top selection. All four of his career victories have come on this course. Tristan Godden knows him well and he would not be a shock winner.

ZINIKELE stayed on when fourth over this distance on the turf last time. She has won five times, finished second twice and third once from 11 starts on this course. She is having her peak run and should give the males a run for their money.

The daughter of Captain Of All is at her best on this course and she drops in class. With a bit of luck in running, she can return to winning ways.

AFRICAN PRINCE’S last two starts have been good. He stayed on when third over 1250m at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time. The son of Gimmethegreenlight takes a drop in class and if taking to the polytrack, he should be the one to beat.

HOPE IS POWER returns from a 13-week break which would have done him the world of good. He has won twice and finished third twice from eight starts over this C&D. He drops in class and with luck in running, he may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

MASTERBLING is better than his last start over 1000m. Three of his five career victories have come on this course. He jumps from a good draw of three and can find a form return
