There are 8 English Premier League matches taking place on Saturday and we suggest a bet in each of them.
Let’s start with the betting update on the title race where Manchester City have firmed in to 4/7 favourites ahead of Arsenal 18/10 after beating them on Wednesday night. Manchester United are 17/1 and you can get 150/1 and better the balance.

Aston Villa v Arsenal – Click here to bet
Aston Villa are currently 11th on the log, but coming off back-to-back defeats away at Manchester City and at home to Leicester.
Arsenal are second on goal difference behind Manchester City, but with a game in hand, but they have only taken 1 point from the last 9 they have played for and went down 3-1 at home to Manchester City in midweek.
I think Arsenal could be vulnerable here, but rather than take them on I am going for a bet in the goals market. Aston Villa games have been high scoring of late and I am looking for that trend to continue.
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 10/11
Brentford v Crystal Palace – Click here to bet
Brentford are currently 8th on the log and are undefeated in their last 10 matches in the League. They are coming off a 1-1 away draw at Arsenal and their last home game was a 3-0 victory over Southampton.
Crystal Palace are 12th on the table and without a win in their last 6 matches. They drew 1-1 at home to Brighton last time out.
Brentford have won their last 3 home matches and it all points to another 3 pointer against a Palace side which has lost its last 2 on the road.
Suggested Bet: Brentford win at 9/10
Brighton v Fulham – Click here to bet
Brighton are currently 6th on the log and are undefeated in their last 5 games which include home wins over Bournemouth and Liverpool.
Fulham are 7th on the log level with Brighton on points, but behind on goal difference having played 2 games more. They broke a 3 match run without a victory when they beat Nottingham 2-0 at home last time out.
Fulham’s last 4 matches have all delivered profits for under 2.5 goal backers and that is where I am headed.
Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 21/20
Chelsea v Southampton – Click here to bet
Chelsea are currently 10th on the log and while undefeated in their last 4 matches, the last 3 games have all been draws. They face a Southampton side, bottom of the log and with 9 losses and 1 victory in their last 10 games.
Chelsea were in action in midweek going down 1-0 at Dortmund in their first leg Champions League match, but they are justifiable 4/10 favourites here. I am going to go with the correct score pick though with Chelsea expected to get a low scoring and scrappy win.
Suggested Bet: Correct Score, 2-0 at 9/2
Everton v Leeds – Click here to bet
Everton are currently 18th on the log and are involved in a relegation scrap which includes Leeds sitting just 1 position above them. Everton have only won 1 of their last 10 matches, but it did come in their last home game when they beat Arsenal 1-0.
Leeds are without a victory in their last 9 and they have only won once in 11 attempts on the road this season.
There doesn’t seem to be too much between these struggling sides and I am going for the draw.
Suggested Bet: The draw at 95/40
Nottingham v Manchester City – Click here to bet
Nottingham are 14th on the log and saw a 5 match run without a defeat ended last time out when they lost 2-0 at Fulham. Nottingham have taken 11 points from a possible 15 in their last 5 home games. Manchester City beat Arsenal 3-1 in midweek and that broke a run of 2 successive away losses.
City should win here, but with their hectic schedule I have a feeling they are going to do just enough for the 3 points.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Manchester City -1, the draw at 29/10
Wolves v Bournemouth – Click here to bet
Wolves are currently 15th on the log and they have won 3 of their last 4 games including their last home game 3-0 against Liverpool.
Bournemouth are 2nd from bottom in 19th without a win in their last 7, in fact they have only taken 2 points from the last 21 they have played for.
Wolves have turned their home form around while Bournemouth have lost their last 5 in a row on their travels and I am happy to take strike on Wolves here.
Suggested Bet: Wolves win at 7/10
Newcastle v Liverpool – Click here to bet
Newcastle are currently 4th on the log while undefeated in their last 17 games they have drawn 5 of their last 6.
Liverpool are 9th on the table and are coming off a much needed 2-0 home win over Everton. On the road this season Liverpool have only won 2 out of 10 matches and they have lost their last 3 road trips.
This should be a tight encounter and while tempted by the draw at 26/10 I am going to take Newcastle’s 6 match run of matches not reaching 3 goals to continue.
Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 21/20
