There are two DSTV Premiership matches taking place on Wednesday night and we suggest a bet in each of them.
Let’s start with a look at the latest Outright Betting where Mamelodi Sundowns are as short as 1/5 to win yet another Title. Orlando Pirates are the only side quoted in single figures at 9/1 and you can get 12/1 SuperSport United, 18/1 Chiefs and Cape Town City and 40/1 and better the balance.

RICHARDS BAY v MAMELODI SUNDOWNS – Click here to bet
Richards Bay have got off to a slow start to the season taking just 1 point from their opening 3 matches. That came last time out at AmaZulu where the sides played to a goalless draw. Their only home game this season was a 2-1 defeat to Golden Arrows.
It looks like a case of “as you were” for Mamelodi Sundowns as they have won their first 4 matches of the campaign to open up a 5 point lead over SuperSport and Galaxy although both of those sides have a game in hand.
Sundowns beat Chippa United 2-0 on the road last time out and their other away game was a 2-1 win over Sekhukhune on the opening night of the season.
Sundowns did the double over Richards Bay last season winning 1-0 at home and 2-0 on the road.
After conceding two goals in their opening 2 matches, Sundowns defence is backed to its miserly best and I think they can keep Richards Bay from scoring for a third consecutive 90 minutes.
Suggested Bet: Richards Bay, Total Goals under 0.5 goals at 9/10
CAPE TOWN CITY v SEKHUKHUNE – Click here to bet
Cape Town City are 6th on the log with 2 victories and a loss in their opening 3 games. That loss came last time out at SuperSport United when they went down 1-0. Prior to that they had a 1-0 victory at Swallows and a 1-0 win at home against Polokwane.
Sekhukhune are 10th on the log with 2 losses and 1 victory in their opening 3 matches. They were beaten 2-1 at home by Swallows last time out and also lost their opening home game against Sundowns by 2-1. Their only winner this season came away at Cape Town Spurs in their 2nd game winning 2-0.
These sides played to a goalless draw at Cape Town City last season with Cape Town City winning the reverse fixture 1-0.
Over 2.5 goals is trading as big as 17/10 but based on Cape Town City’s matches this season and the head-to-head record between the sides you would have to be a brave punter to go overs. I am going to keep things simple here and going to go with a Cape Town City home win at 11/10.
Suggested Bet: Cape Town City win at 11/10
