Australia have participated in 5 test matches this year so far and they have been successful winning 4 of the 5 matches.

In early January they wrapped up a 3 match home series 3-0 against Pakistan and then they played a two-match series against West Indies in January, with both games being hosted on Australian soil. The first match went the way of the home side who picked up a dominant 10-wicket win, however the second time around the result differed and it was West Indies who came out on top, clinching an 8 runs victory to draw the series 1-1.

Their most recent action took place in matches against New Zealand played across two legs. This time around the matches were played in New Zealandand Australia won the series 2-0, winning the first match by 172 runs and the second match by 3 wickets when the match concluded.

India have taken part in far more fixtures this season, playing a total of 11 matches, winning 7 and losing 4.

They clashed with Bangladesh in late September, where they were won both matches comfortably. The first match ended in a comfortable 280 run win for India and the second match ended with a 7 wicket victory.

They played their latest test match series against New Zealand, over October and November. India struggled to find form throughout these matches despite being at home, losing all 3, with the first an 8-wicket loss, this was followed up by a 113-run loss a few days later. The final test was much closer, but India could not get the job done, falling 25 runs short and losing 3-0.

Head-To-Head

The last time these two sides met in front of Australian crowds was in a two-match series in 2021. The first match was held at Sydney Cricket Ground, and it ended in a draw, the second encounter at the Brisbane Cricket Ground concluded with India claiming a 3-wicket victory.

Their most recent clash was the World Test Championship final in the UK where Australia won by 209 runs.

He has been in decent form over the last few tests and I expect him to get plenty of overs in this match.

Suggested Bet: Ist Innings Top Australian Batter – Marnus Labuschagne at 4.20

He has been struggling with the bat recently, but he is a man with a smooth technique and a big match temperament and I am expecting him to get back into top form.
