The PSL isn’t quite back in full flow yet, but there are 4 matches taking place this weekend and we take a look at 2 of them from a betting angle.
SATURDAY
SWALLOWS v TS GALAXY
This clash pits two teams towards the bottom of the table against each other.
Swallows are currently in 14th position with just 2 wins in 19 starts and they have only won 1 of their last 10 fixtures drawing 4 and losing 5. Swallows have only won once at home this season with 50% of their home matches ending up as draws.
Looking at the goal stats Swallows home games have averaged 2 goals each with only 30% of the matches delivering profits had you backed over 2.5 goals.
TS Galaxy are rock bottom of the table, 2 points behind Swallows. They were also in poor form towards the back end of last year taking just 1 point from the last 9 they had played for. Galaxy have yet to win on the road in 8 attempts this season and they have only taken 1 point on their travels and that was in their last away game which finished 1-1 at Golden Arrows.
Galaxy away games have averaged 2.8 goals each, the highest in the PSL, but unfortunately for Galaxy they have only scored 5 goals in 8 matches while conceding 17.

Swallows 5/4
Draw 39/20
TS Galaxy 28/10
Suggested Bet: Swallows win at 5/4
Swallows haven't been in any great shape at home, but having a look at Galaxy’s away record I have to back the Soweto team to take the 3 points.
Over 2.5 goals is trading as big as 2/1 and there is little value in betting on a low scoring game here unless perhaps you take the 0-0 Correct Score at 9/2.
SUNDAY
GOLDEN ARROWS v CAPE TOWN CITY
These sides are locked together in the middle of the table with Golden Arrows in 10th, 1 point and 1 position behind Cape Town City.
Arrows are actually undefeated in their last 9 matches, but 7 of those games have finished in draws including their last 7 games most recently 0-0 away at Orlando Pirates a couple of days ago.
Arrows have drawn an incredible 10 of their 17 matches this season and looking closely at their home record they have only lost once, but have drawn 4 and won 3 of their 8 games. Golden Arrows home games have averaged 2.4 goals each with an even split of over and under 2.5 goals.
Cape Town City are coming off a goalless draw at home to Kaizer Chiefs earlier in the week. They ended last year with a 3-2 away defeat to SuperSport. City have only won once in 8 attempts on the road with 4 draws and 3 losses and their away games have been low scoring averaging 1.9 goals each with just 3 of the 8 matches reaching the 3 goal mark.

Golden Arrows 31/20
Draw 19/10
Cape Town City 19/10
Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 1/1
I was actually hoping for a slightly bigger price on this, but I guess the bookies have also looked at the head-to-head record which shows that this bet would have arrived in the last 5 meetings between the sides. For the more ambitious, perhaps consider over 2.5 goals at 11/8.
