Southampton 34/10 Draw 3/1 Man United 8/11

Southampton have lost all 3 of their matches so far, scoring just the 1 goal and conceding 5. Their only home game so far saw them go down 1-0 to Forest.

United have 1 win and 2 defeats against their name. A 1-0 home win over Fulham was followed by defeats at Brighton (2-1) and last time out they were outplayed in a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The Verdict:

One would expect United to have too much for Southampton but I wouldn't be rushing in to back them. Bruno Fernandes should have a key roll and I will side with him to have 2 or more shots on target.

Bets: Player shots on target Bruno Fernandes 2+ at 12/10 with Sportingbet

Brighton 4/10 Draw 4/1 Ipswich 6.75/1

Brighton are unbeaten and are in third place with 7 points, 2 off the pace. They started with wins at Everton (3-0) and at home to Man United (2-1) and most recently they took a point from a visit to Arsenal (1-1) in a game where the Gunners were reduced to 10 men.

It's been a tough start for Ipswich but after defeats at home to Liverpool (2-0) and away to Man City (4-1) they at least put themselves on the board with a 1-1 draw at home to Fulham.

The Verdict:

There has been plenty to like about Brighton and Ipswich are still finding their feet. Yankuba Minteh looks like a handy player for the hosts and hopefully has done enough to secure a starting spot as he is my pick to provide an assist.

Bets: Player total assists Yankuba Minteh 1+ at 27/10 with Sportingbet

Crystal Palace 0.62/1 Draw 31/10 Leicester 4.25/1

Palace have just the 1 point which came last time out away at Chelsea where they played out a 1-1 draw. They began with defeats at Brentford (2-1) and at home to West Ham (2-0).

Leicester started with a 1-1 draw at home to Spurs before going down at Fulham and at home to Villa (both 2-1).

The Verdict:

A golden opportunity for Place to get their first win and I fancy the home side to score in both halves

Bets: Crystal Palace to score in both halves at 1.43/1 with Betway

Fulham 14/10 Draw 5/2 West Ham 1.75/1

Fulham have 4 points to show from their efforts so far, a 1-0 defeat away to Man United followed by the 2-1 home win over Leicester and last time out they drew 1-1 at Ipswich.

Either side of their 2-0 win at Palace West Ham lost 2-1 at home to Villa and 3-1 at home to Man City.

The Verdict:

A London derby and a tough one to call which sways me towards tagging this one as this week's draw bet.

Bets: Match result draw at 5/2 with Sportingbet

Liverpool 0.22/1 Draw 6/1 Notts Forest 11/1

Liverpool have been foot perfect and have yet to concede this season after convincing wins at Ipswich and home to Brentford (both 2-0) prior to their 3-0 win at Old Trafford.

Forest will be content with 5 points and an unbeaten record. They played out draws at home to Bournemouth and Wolves (both 1-1) either side of the 1-0 win at Southampton and it gets tougher now.

The Verdict:

Liverpool have done pretty much everything right and if they pick up where they left off it will be a tough afternoon for Forest.

Trent Alexander Arnold was unlucky to have a goal chalked off at Old Trafford and I like his price to have 1 or more shots on target here.

Bets: Player total shots on target Alexander Arnold 1+ at 21/10 with Sportingbet

Man City 0.18/1 Draw 7/1 Brentford 12/1

City top the log ahead of Liverpool on goals scored. Halaand has 7 of their 9 goals including hat tricks at home to Ipswich and away at West Ham and he was also on target in a 2-0 win at Chelsea on the opening weekend.

Brentford have won both their home games so far against Palace (2-1) and Southampton 3-1). They were far from disgraced in their only road trip so far although they rarely threatened to score in their 2-0 defeat at Liverpool.

The Verdict:

A one sided betting heat and Brentford's defence will be busy which leads to me towards Ethan Pinnock, who has played every minute so far this season and was booked in the win over Southampton, picking up another card.

Bets: Player to be shown a card Ethan Pinnock at 5.25/1 with Sportingbet

Aston Villa 5/10 Draw 7/2 Everton 5.25/1

Villa have won both away matches, at west Ham and Leicester, by a 2-1 scoreline but their only home fixture saw them go down 2-0 to Arsenal.

Everton have had a nightmare start and are bottom of the standings. They lost 3-0 at home to Brighton and 4-0 at Spurs and last time out they were 2-0 up at home to Bournemouth but conceded 3 times from the 87th minute onwards and went down 3-2.

The Verdict:

Villa can be full of imagination on their day, Lucas Digne gets forward and is handy from set pieces he is my pick to provide an assist

Bets: Player assists, Lucas Digne 1+ at 36/10 with Sportingbet

Bournemouth 9/4 Draw 29/10 Chelsea 21/20

Bournemouth's amazing late comeback in the 3-2 win at Everton was preceded by 1-1 draws away to Forest and at home to Newcastle

Chelsea started with a 2-0 home defeat to Man City before a second half onslaught saw them run out 6-2 winners at Wolves. They had to settle for a point last time out when they were held (1-1) at home by Palace.

The Verdict:

Chelsea smashed Wolves away from home but were a touch disappointing last time out whilst Bournemouth have started well enough.

I battled with this one and will settle for on Jackson to score anytime for the visitors.

Bets: Anytime goalscorer Nicolas Jackson at 19/10 with BoyleSports
