The men’s semi-finals takes place at Wimbledon on Friday and we take a look at both matches from a betting angle.
Novak Djokovic’s price has been virtually unchanged all Tournament and he remains a 5/10 favourite to lift another Wimbledon Title. Carlos Alcaraz is priced as the 23/10 second favourite and you can get 10/1 Medvedev and 11/1 Sinner to win the Title.

Jannik Sinner v Novak Djokovic
Sinner is the 8th seed and he has dropped only two sets on route to the semi-final. He swept through his first 2 rounds without been troubled before Halys pushed him to a 4th set in round 3. His quarter-final opponent was Safiullin and the pair were locked at a set all when Sinner changed gear to win the last 2 sets 6-2, 6-2. He has managed to reach the semi-finals without meeting a seed. That run now stops in the semi-final of course as he meets World No. 1 and 2nd seed, Novak Djokovic.
Bookmakers were offering specials on whether Djokovic could win the Tournament without dropping a set, but that has not been the case and although he came through his first 3 rounds fairly comfortably he was taken to at least 1 tie breaker in all of those matches and then against the 17th seed, Hurkacz in the round of 16 he dropped the 3rd set before winning 6-4 in the 4th. Djokovic’s quarter-final opponent was Rublev who took the first set 6-4 before Djokovic stormed back 6-1, 6-4, and 6-3 meaning he has dropped two sets on his way to the semi-finals, the same as his opponent Sinner.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Sinner and Djokovic have met twice with Djokovic winning on each occasion, but Sinner gave Djokovic a real run for his money the last time they met in the Wimbledon quarter-finals in 2022. Sinner won the 1st two sets before Djokovic came from behind to win 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 for a five set victory.

Jannik Sinner 4/1
Novak Djokovic 2/11
While Djokovic has looked a worthy favourite he has been not quite as dominant as I had expected and in Sinner he faces a player who has pushed him here once before. I think Djokovic will reign supreme, but I am betting that we get 37 games or more in total.
Suggested Bet: Total Games over 36.5 at 9/10
Carlos Alcaraz v Daniil Medvedev
Top seed Alcaraz came through his first 2 rounds in straight sets although he was given a good match by Müller in his 2nd round winning 6-4, 7-6, 6-3. The 25th seed, Jarry was his opponent in the 3rd round and Jarry levelled things up at one set all before Alcaraz won the 3rd and 4th sets and he went a set down to Berrettini in his round of 16 clash before winning sets 2, 3 and 4 comfortably. Alcaraz turned in his best display of the Tournament when he played 6th seed Rune in the quarter-finals winning 7-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Medvedev’s progress through to the semi-finals has surprised me as I was tipping him for an early exit. He won his first 2 matches in straight sets before Fucsovics won the 1st set against him in the 3rd round only for Medvedev to win the next 3. He was in control of his round of 16 clash against Lehecka eventually winning that game in a walkover but he was pushed hard in his quarter-final against unseeded Eubanks winning 6-1 in the 5th after fighting back from 2 sets to 1 down.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Alcaraz and Medvedev have met twice with each player victorious once. Medvedev beat Alcaraz in the second round at Wimbledon last year in straight sets, but when they met earlier this year in the US it was Alcaraz who came out on top 6-3, 6-2.

Daniil Medvedev 2/1
Alcaraz looks to be playing his best tennis at the right time and I think he can win this one in straight sets.
