Race 1

JOHNNY THE THIEF has finished second in his last four starts. He will enjoy the drop back to the mile and should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces
HELSINKI was his own worst enemy last time as he over raced in the early stages. He steps up to the mile and if Muzi Yeni is able to switch him off early, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
Race 2
This is a weak Maiden Plate and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is GALAXY EXPLORER from the Tony Rivalland stable. He stayed on when third over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. The cheekpieces have been fitted and the headgear will keep his mind on the task at hand. Richard Fourie takes the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
PLAYER X received a bump at the 250m mark last time, but stayed on at the finish. It must be noted that Trois Trois Quatre has come out and won twice since. If not in need of this run, he should throw out a challenge to the top choice.
ATTABOY returns from a 10-week break, during which time he was gelded. He steps up to the mile and Gavin Lerena does duty. If jumping on terms, he can finish in the money.

HOT STRIKE should have finished closer to the winner last time as she had to be steadied late. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She has won once, finished second once and third once from six starts on this course. She will strip much fitter today and with luck in running, she can go close.
MISS GIBSON was running on when second over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. She takes a slight rise in class, but carries a handy galloping mass of 52kgs and should be mowing down the frontrunners.
PRINCESS OZMA was a tad disappointing in her last start over 1800m on this course. It is encouraging that Richard Fourie steps into the saddle and on best form shown, she can win a race of this nature.

EL DANTE was reported to be not striding out in his comeback run over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The son of Wylie Hall won his only attempt over this distance. Bernard Fayd’Herbe is booked to ride and from pole position, he can return to winning ways.
PURPLENINJATURTLE should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung in the closing stages. He finished second in his penultimate start over this distance. With luck in running, he should fight out the finish.
TRUSOVA finished 1.15 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 1kg worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
Race 5
TWICE GOLDEN ran on strongly when third over 2200m on this course last time. Two of his five career victories have come over this distance. Richard Fourie steps into the saddle and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
PAPA C ran on well when second over 1950m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that Rodriguez has come out and won again since. He won his only attempt over this C&D and merits healthy respect.
MADISON BLUES ran a fair race over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He has cracked a good draw of two and will be doing his best work at the finish
Race 6
RULERSHIP should have won his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville as a loose horse caused interference in the closing stages. He has won three times, finished second twice and third twice from nine starts over this distance. He jumps from a good draw of three and with luck in running, he should notch up his fourth career victory.
COIN SPINNER finished 0.3 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 2.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may have to settle for the same result.
GOOD TRAVELLER showed good signs of a form return in his last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He has won over this distance in the past and if confirming his recent improvement, he should be competitive.

IMPERIOUS DESTINY is lightly raced with good form lines to her credit. It must be noted that the form of her last outing has been franked. She finished second in her only attempt over this C&D and is one of the leading contenders
BONNE BOUCHE showed good signs of a form return in her last start over this distance on the polytrack. She would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Calvin Habib retains the ride and the pair may be hard to peg back
Race 8
SUNDANCE KID showed very good signs of a form return in his last start over this distance on the polytrack. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. The son of Master Of My Fate takes a drop-in class and with luck in running, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
SENOR GARCIA was running on when fourth over this C&D last time. He has cracked pole position and if putting his best foot forward, he should run a big race.
LAKE COMO stayed on when third over this C&D last time. It must be noted that Porfirio has come out and won again since. He will strip much fitter and cannot be ignored
