Race 1

EASTERN HIGHLANDS produced a promising debut effort over 1200m on this course. He was slow into stride, raced green and hung outwards in the straight. The son of Danon Platina would have gained from the experience and will love the rise to 1400m. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat. 

BLACKJACK RANDALL ran a creditable race when third in his first outing as a gelding. He would have come on from the run and the blinkers should keep his mind on the task at hand. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces. 

FLAG CHAMP was in need of his debut effort over 1200m on this course. The son of Canford Cliffs is bred to love the extra 200m on offer. He would have come on from his debut experience and there should be good improvement to come. 

Race 2

WINTER BLESSING is better than her last start over 1200m on this course. Her penultimate run when fourth over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville was fair. Raymond Danielson is booked to ride and if putting her best foot forward, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure. 

ACT OF GRACE showed good improvement when second over this distance on the polytrack last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She is a progressive type and if jumping on terms, she should throw out a big challenge to the top choice. 

CHARGE IT finished 1.5 lengths behind the top selection on debut. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight would have come on from the run and with luck in running, she can show good improvement.

Race 3

CASSANDRA caught the eye when third over 1200m on the turf on debut. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. The daughter of Act Of War would have gained from the experience and she should love the rise to 1400m. She carries a handy galloping mass of 53kgs and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should be the one to beat. 

QUEEN OF THE AIR is better than her last start as she was reported to have mucus in her trachea. The 32-week break would have done her the world of good. If finding the form of her debut run, she may be the one to fill the exacta spot. 

THE GOLDEN GOAL raced from a handy position over 1200m on this course last time, but found one too good in the form of Prince Florian. He jumps from pole position and can earn another cheque for his patrons. 

Race 4

FORTRESS OF FIRE is better than his last two starts, the latest of which was in the Listed Hollywoodbets Sharks Gatecrasher Stakes. His debut victory over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville, catches the eye. Raymond Danielson retains the ride and if putting his best foot forward, it would not be a shock to see him in the winner’s enclosure. 

MASTER SILVANO ran an encouraging race on debut over 1100m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He was green in running and stayed on at the finish. The son of Master Of My Fate would have come on from the run and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should pose a threat. 

WAR TALK ran a fair race on debut over 1000m at Turffontein. The daughter of Act Of War would have come on from the outing and should love the extra 200m on offer. She carries a nice weight of 55.5kgs and should make the natural progression. 

Race 5

TEE DOG should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung inwards and had to be steadied late. The son of Act Of War has cracked a good draw of four. If taking to this C&D, he can win a race of this nature. 

QUINN‘S TIME‘S last two starts have been fair. The son of Act Of War steps up to 1700m and from his good draw of two, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest. 

WINDOW TO MY SOUL was running on when second over 2000m on this course last time. The son of One World is a progressive type and with a bit of luck from his wide draw, he should be involved in the fight to the finish. 

 

 

Race 6

HAT‘S QUEEN ran a fair race in the Grade 2 Tote Woolavington 2000 last time. Her penultimate run when second in the Listed The Independent On Saturday East Coast Cup catches the eye. The daughter of Hat Puntano is the class horse in this race, and she should take a power of beating. 

QUEEN AMINA ran on well when second over 1800m on the turf last time. She finished second in her only attempt over this distance. The daughter of Act Of War carries a handy galloping mass of 53.5kgs, and she may be the horse to fill the exacta spot. 

SASCHA‘S DREAM stayed on when fifth over this distance on the turf last time. She has won once, finished second once and third once from as many starts on this course. She carries a nice weight of 52kgs and should feature. 

Race 7

DISTING was her own worst enemy over this distance on the turf last time as she over raced in the early stages. The daughter of Global View has loads of ability and if putting her best foot forward from pole position, she should give the males a run for their money. 

PROUD MASTER is better than his recent form. It must be noted that multiple horses from his last outing have come out and won since. He has won six times from nine starts over this C&D. On best form, he would not be a shock winner. 

SILVER TUDOR is better than his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He has won once, finished second twice and third twice from seven starts over this distance. With a bit of luck in running, he can show. 

Race 8

CHERRY ANO‘S last two starts have been fair. It must be noted that Dave The King has come out and won a Grade 1 since. He has won six times and finished second three times from 11 starts over this trip. The 5yo gelding is likely to race on the speed from his good draw of two, and he can return to winning ways. 

DANTONFROMSANDTON is better than his last start over 1160m at Turffontein. He won a good race over 1200m at the Vaal. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and if seeing out the 1600m, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest. 

SOLDIER‘S EYE drew off at the finish when winning over this trip on the Turffontein Inside course, eight weeks ago. Three of her four career victories have come over this distance. She is in a good space and should run another honest race.

Race 9

WILLOW EXPRESS is better than his last start over 1450m on the Turffontein Inside course. He has won once and finished second once from four starts on this course. On his previous form, he is capable of winning a race of this nature. 

PEACE TREATY is the stable companion of the top choice. He returns from a 12-week break which may have done him the world of good. He finished third in his only attempt over this distance. It is encouraging that Richard Fourie is booked to ride, and there should be improvement to come. 

ACTOR was is in need of his last start over 1200m. He has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this distance. Serino Moodley is booked to ride, and he should strip much fitter. 

Race 10

PRINCESS PALACE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. It must be noted that the form of her last outing has been franked. She finished third in her only attempt over this C&D. The blinkers have been removed which may do the trick. 

HAPPY FORTUNE finished 0.2 lengths behind the top selection last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. 

AMONG THE CLOUDS was an easy winner of her last start over this C&D. She received a five-pound penalty for that victory. With a bit of luck from her wide draw, she can follow up with another win
